Q:
Dungeon starter left - party stuck.
A:
Unfortunately the player is not the problem here. Anything could have come up in that thing called “real life” forcing someone to have to log out. What the problem is the game mechanics do not allow for a transfer of “dungeon ownership” to another party member.

This. The Party Lead role should either be transferred automatically to a new member or the dungeon could be paused, and a voting screen (like how we are picking up paths) will appear, with the names of active members.
Reporting a player for ceasing to play the game. That’s a new one for me.
Anything can happen in four hours. Not everyone can play for that long straight. That path generally shouldn’t take more than an hour to hour and a half so he likely didn’t plan to do it that long.
Players are free to leave groups whenever they want. Leaving abruptly is rude, but not against the rules.

I just really want this fixed. In a forum post by Hrouda he states that this behaviour should be reported.
In another topic (did my homework) from 7 (Yes, seven) months ago, he states they are looking for a solution:
“We’re currently looking into solutions for this and another nasty case: Party leader leaving the party and ejecting folks from the dungeon, forcing them to restart.
One of the solutions we’re investigating to the problem you posted though, is for the instance ownership to transition to the new “party leader” so that instead of everyone getting the boot, there is a player in the party who becomes the new owner and the group can continue on.
I’m sure I’m making it sound easier than it really is, but that is one of the solutions we are investigating. There’s a lot of tech magic way beyond my pay-grade that needs to happen, but we are working on a solution to this issue.”
I would very, very much like this “transition” to be implemented.
