*First of all, i know its my own stupid fault, and you dont have to point this out.

recently i bought a chestpiece for my Guardian, but exidently bought the Medium version of it*. To my suprice i found my self with a compleetly useless piece of gear, seeing as its Soulbound and cant sell it to eigher a NPC or on the maket, and even cant give it to one of my caracters wich CAN use the medium class armor.

1: Why is it even possible to buy the armor classes you cant use?
2: Why are the Tokes account bound, but the armor Soulbound?
(i like the account bound tokens, but why cant the armor be account bound if you can buy all armor types)
3: Could it be made possible to sell back or trade you armor, if you made a mistake?

Please leave a respons about your opinion and toughts about this, should this be changed?

you already receive a text box “are you sure you want to delete your character?”
and if you press yes, then … pay more attention next time ^^

it would be cool to “unlock” armor once you buy it and have it available forever. i wouldnt mind doing this even on all characters, but atm its hard to rebuild character once you have lvl 80 armor.

its not a mistake i tend to make twice,
and like i said that its my fault, but i cant inmagion i’m the only one who made this mistake.

and i’m not asking these questions to blame someone other then me, but there solid questions.

I think it’s a reasonable question. There is no good reason to make it possible to BUY soulbound equipment you can’t use, it’s terrible design.

If I had to guess, the armor was probably originally intended to be account bound on acquire, soul bound on use, and someone made a change at the “last” minute.

you don’t receive a text box with cof armor for some reason, still hasn’t been fixed.

I actually did this same thing with the 1st 2 pieces of dungeon armor I bought. I was wanting light, but was not paying attention and got both legs and chest medium. I ended up salvaging them and getting nothing but 2 soul bound superior runes worth a whopping 2s 97c each (if I recall correctly). Live and learn…I haven’t made the same mistake since….lol

i cant salvage it, i rater have it look good and waste one bank slot (and hoping it will be made Account bound) than salvaging it for crap i dont use :P

While it won’t save the stats, the appearance of the item can be made account bound by transmuting it onto a piece of white-level gear, and then re-transmuting it onto something useful for another character.

Small consolation, but perhaps better than nothing.

You’re right, this is why they added the purchase confirmation box in the first place.

Got no sympathy for you. You have plenty of warning and if you can’t be bothered to spend the half a second to look at the item then too bad.

again, i dont want or need sympathy. and as i stated at my original post i fully admit that it was my own fault. i was going in and out the shop so manny times that i got careless and when i wanted to buy the armor i got the icons mixed up.

it’s just a the reason for why i’m asking these questions.

It’s alright, everyone’s a kitten until it happens to them, I know this because I was like that too before it happened to me.
