I open CM, clear basement by myself (playing thief), make post on LFG p1, looking for 80/zerk but frankly i usually don’t care what people run as long as they are 80 and not exactly in blues.

Few people join, we got a necro. Ele kicks him from group. I invited necro back as i felt bad for him. Ele kicks him again, changes LFG into FULL RUN META ZERK yada yada.

I told ele to leave because i don’t want such rude people in the group and it is my dungeon and he has no right to dictate what we run. Ele claimed that i joined the group. I said how did i join the group when i opened the dungeon, cleared basement and made LFg post on first place. If he doesn’t like how i run it he can just go make own group. Eventually we managed to kick him and found someone else.

TL/DR: i really wish ownership of the dungeon would be back so i wouldn’t have to open dungeon, clear part of it and then fear to get kicked because some players would rather cause troble like this and be rude to other.

It would be nice if the new squad ui allowed for something like this. Don’t know if it is possible for squads to enter dungeons/fractals or if people can join squads from lfg. I’m guessing not.

Shockingly, as a major Necromancer player I have never been kicked from a group for being a Necromancer. I also never join groups that ask for zerker meta, though, and usually just look for ones asking for “experienced players”. Additionally, I oftentimes get complimented for “somehow contributing a lot to the team despite my class choice”.

I attribute it to having a badkitten looking character, honestly.

I’ve never been kicked for being ranger or necro. I always wonder about these stories and feel that those who HAVE been kicked are often not giving the full picture…..

Same here, I haven’t been kicked for beening a ranger.
I have had my off days with sword though

It’s pretty rare to get kicked just for a class, usually there’s some other factor…like low AP or a clearly suboptimal build. At worst, some groups will ask you to switch if there’s too many non-meta classes.

Don’t worry, people will stop doing dungeons now that kitten anet nerfed the kitten out of em :’(
