So, I was doing some Arah yesterday and we had a 900ap warrior in the group. Now his general play… meh, lots of axe5 and never left axe/axe and pretty sure he wasn’t full zerk. But, he impressed/shocked me when he was making skips pretty well and he survived all of lupi just fine. So yeah… 900ap, impressive.
That was p2 and the p1 we did after with people having much higher APs was… not so smooth. Had some issues with lupi (my god the bubbles) to the point that we decided to just wall him… couldn’t even do that right haha

I am SO TEMPTED to start joining Arah pug groups on my baby warrior on my second account who just barely has full exotics and is about 1.2k AP – I wonder how many people would be shocked to death when I can solo Lupi? (Thanks Ivan – mentor extraordinaire!)
AP doesn’t mean kitten. For every example you have, someone has a counter example. Neither does owning a legendary. Or a full set of Glorious armor. Or a title.
Oh, that’s not it. I expect everyone to suck. I also expect people to not tell each other how to play unless they ask for help.
I suppose those are unreal expectations, but if I’m “running a meta build” I shouldn’t be asked to bring reflects to a dungeon full of projectiles.
I hate when people tell me to slot Time Warp, Feedback, and Portal. If you want to tell me how to play a Mesmer, why aren’t you on one instead? I know how to do my duty, and that’s all that I care about. If you want to do my duty for me, get on your own Mesmer, don’t get on mine.
I also am capable of soloing plenty of content, so it’s not a matter of getting good or lucky with PuGs, but just a matter of doing it with others to make it go by faster. I also have internet problems when my entire family is home so it’s nice to have a buffer in case I disconnect.
And attitudes like this is why a lot of players have given up trying to be nice and explaining stuff to others.
We are either made fun of by “think they know everything but actually don’t” or have to deal with players who get upset when someone gives them the smallest tip just in case he didn’t know and didn’t want to admit it.

I know by experience its incredible hard to learn for pugs.
I myself can’t do it with anything but warrior (on speedruns.. on normal runs i can do it with everything).
That is because to learn it you need some tries.
And you won t find any Group that will accept newbies while trying speedruns tactics.
At most you can find someone soloing lupi.
Luckily logging a warrior you have so much margin for mistakes you can join arah speedruns with it and nobody will notice if you are a first timer….until you learn to react properly.
(example: mesmer will die fast to lupi kicks, a full zerk warrior will facetank it no problem and regen with signet).

A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

You sound like a decent player, but the problem with the LFG is that many many people do not read the description – so the group was not at fault for asking.
Many players join a group in the LFG with descriptions like ‘zerk’ and ‘meta’… but they are (for example) some staff and scepter wielding condi mesmer with no idea what they are doing. If you join a meta speedclear group in the lfg, expect them to ask/confirm what you are running. You may be the best mesmer in the game but they don’t know you!
Plenty of times I have asked for zerk and meta builds and got some condi staff guardian or something just as bad… there is a reason people ask.
Feedback isn’t tied to any build, you can always drop a mantra.
Basically this, can also slap in Mirror or Summon D Series Defensive Golem (Shield of Absorption for Asura) if necessary. Focus, whether or not traited, is still Projectile Control because the Wardens will either destroy projectiles (untraited) or reflect projectiles (traited).
I always ask mesmer/guard if they have feedback/wall slotted if I actually need it. Better ask (and kick if answer is wrong) than wipe on trash at start.
I pug dungeons everyday, pugs are mostly decent nowadays, but sometimes you run into that mace/shield guardian with no wall

Nowaday we have meta builds… that are guides for unexperienced players not the holy rules.
As stated by the same people posting them,You can often be way more effective by fine tuning according to your party and to fights.

Seems you can purchase additional ascended trinkets after unlocking the Achievement. Pretty neat, seems like a step forward in adding rewards for dungeons.

The six others are still worthless though, at least for PvE purposes. There’s still a long way to go if they want to make proper rewards for doing the same dungeons over and over.
You do realize you don’t need to buy any of them. The only purpose to would be to have one for WvW and one for Fractals. Even then, the difference is pretty negligible, especially since you can get your 5 stat points and still get 5 AR.
