Dungeons: Worst drops of history of drops
The token system is fine.
Dungeons are hardly dead. I do them everyday.
But anyways, they said that a loot revamp will be done on next major patch.
i’m not sure i understand. Yeah i’ve played games where EPIC end game gear can drop directly for bosses.. at a 0.4% chance… and you had to roll against other people in the group, so 4 months of farming dungeons daily later there’s still no completed set- i just want to /wrist and go do something more worth my while. and now, you get 1/3 -1/5 of a lower piece of armor or weapon with every single unique path run. A full set is about 1380 tokens or 23 runs, another 23 for weapons so 46? Idk if there’s anything compelling about running a dungeon more than 46 times. If you want to do so go ahead for the 26 silvers at the end. But don’t see why this is a problem o.o.

By the way, the sky isn’t blue, it’s neon green and always has been. I don’t feel the need to back up my statement with any facts.

Well, if you want to bring up Deep and Urgoz as a comparison… I did these regularly up until release of GW2. The difference is having a good collection of people you can rely on to run with—a guild, if you would. And you should know that the drops had little value that late into the game, so why did I do it? For the fun of it. Seriously, just that. Arranging 11 other people, just to lay siege to the lair of Urgoz and Kanaxai.
As far as rewards for them go, I like the (updated) token functionality. I get exactly what I want out of it with enough energy invested. Not to say I’d turn down a marginal chance at a dungeon specific drop, but I think the dungeon system is functional as is.
But he’s right. Dungeons doesn’t drop nothing more than trash. They are supposed to be THE place where you can pray to loot an exotic, and not with a 0.00000000000000001% chance like from world mobs for sure.

I’d rather get tokens meaning I know exactly how many runs I have to do instead of doing possibly hundreds for exotic stuff I likely won’t even be able to use.
Also dungeons are hardly dead, I see people recruiting for them all the time in LA on my server.
Story mode dungeons however, that’s another story.

They’ve stated in a recent thread that they are revamping rewards again. The first part was so that if you don’t finish, you will still walk away with something instead of empty handed. It also sounded like they were gonna up the loot as well. This is to come next patch. So that should either be next week or with the Halloween update.

Token system is just that fine….not GOOD, EXCITING, or FUN..its just fine and fair and dully grinding a set amount of currency..
Not to mention the lack of cool drops you get for chests. I grinded dungeon gear before they set it to 60 tokens so I ran a lot of dungeons don’t remember getting one really cool thing from any dungeon.
Ps. whats with the lack of fun drops like rare mini’s, cool crafting recipes, super rare drop only skins, really rare silly stuff. These things give loot flavor where right now it is loot blue/green/yellow sell blue/green/yellow

This is way too true the dungeons at least the Explore portions are very dull and the dull generic rewards dont help….

These are all but personal oppinions. Of course. I, and my entire guild, think the exact opposite. Dungeons; most are not that hard, some are challenging, but all of them are amazingly fun. The dungeon sets look great, I’ve personally gathered up two complete exotic sets.
I find it funny that you think dungeons are “a timesink”. Isn’t that the entire point of playing games?
