[CDS] – Sanctum of Rall
(edited by Moderator)
dear Tyrians, so i’ve been running a few dungeons here and there (for my exotic armour as well as legendary gift), and not until recently did i start using potions in additon to food. Did SE Path 3 yesterday and invested in some Strong potions of dredge slaying, and wish i’d done this even before i ever set foot in a dungeon!! highly recommended for those who don’t already do so.
Just wanted to put together a quick list of what potion works best for which dungeons.
You can purchase most corresponding potions from dungeon vendors.
Would appreciate if anyone could help confirm the question marks or any other suggestions! i’ll edit this main post accordingly.
Thanks to all those that replied and contributed! Pretty much all of you in the thread. lol.

AC: Tested Undead against first breeder in EXP, no noticable effect
CM: Tested Outlaw against rifleman in spike-room in Seraph Path, seemed to work
TA: Tested Nightmare against Nightmare-husk on EXP, seemed to work
SE: Inquest seemed to work against patrol in p1 (dredge had no effect), Dredge seemed to work against dredges

If you go to LA, in the dungeon armor shop you can buy the potions you can use in the corresponding dungeon.
but to be honest, i have been trying them out as well, and i have not found the difference to be big.
For Crucible of Eternity explorable modes, I would recommend undead slaying for alpha as the rest of the dungeon is a mix of mob types. COE exp does not contain any inquest as far as I can remember. For SE path 1 I would recommend Inquest instead of Dredge considering it is mostly inquest and golemns.
Oddly enough, gravelings in AC are counted as ghosts – but this is a totally different class than undead. There is Potion of Ghost Slaying, but the only way to get it is via the dungeon token merchant – buy the recipe for 200 tokens iirc and enjoy your potions. The only problem is that they come out soulbound.
You can remove the other question marks, except that there are no inquest in CoE explorables – mostly undead and golems.
thanks for all the replies! edited up front. had a major brain fart. not the first one today, sick-ish at work, and needing to get off now. no idea why i thought CoE had inquest.. probably all the events leading up to it – but when you get inside. yes. not many to be found really. lol. thanks for bearing with me.
@sheepie – which level potion did you use? i’d be interested to test the various degrees and see if there is a notable difference. of course, it’d be hard to test exactly, but on gut feeling, it helped (psychological effect? hmmm).
10% more damage and 10% less incoming damage is quite a lot, especially if you don’t run a mediocre build between survivability and dps but specialise in either (or both, as is possible sometimes).
My only problem with potions is that they seem to wear off after deaths that occured 10+ minutes after using the potion, whereas food stays there even after a wipe.
Another thing is to consider using sharpening stones or attunement crystals – they are considered potions, can be used alongside with food, and can considerably boost your damage output if you run a tanky setup.
They should really make them potions of dungeon slaying instead of mob types since it’s also the idea behind these pots.
