They’re hard, challenging and extremely fun to play! Maybe they aren’t rewarding enough in the terms of loot/tokens but the game experience you when playing/completing one feels very rewarding. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had this much fun playing dungeons. In other games I always fall asleep at the keyboard in dungeons but in Guild Wars 2 it’s all so fast paced and you have to be on your toes all the time.
Personally I don’t see why most people are so negative toward them.

Also it would be great if you could make the tokens account bound instead of soulbound.

People are a bit upset because the term ‘casual friendly’ was applied to story-mode dungeons during development. Such a term is incredibly loaded.

I think what people want is a consistently fun, rewarding experience for their time spent. They want this if they’re with friends, or with random people who didn’t trait for the dungeon, aren’t communicating via VOIP, etc. If they don’t get the best rewards, or the most difficulty, I think that’s a fair trade. Right now the balance seems off.

Yeah, the loot needs to improve I think for completing the dungeon. Maybe a chance to gain something very appealing to look at in gear/weapon or better stat item (although I think Anet is trying to avoid “better items” / The perfect gear + weapon system).

The first time I ran AC it was brutal.

I just ran it again and it was a breeze – died maybe 4 times and I am a thief.

Experience and a good party made the world of difference – and this was a pug.

I totally agree with your description of dungeons. They really ARE great!

I actually had no problems with AC, had luck with my party but I had huge problems with the lvl 50 dungeon. It took us like forever to get to the last boss. The fight with Bragnoire was veeeery expensive and Faolain wasn’t even killable.
So what did we do?
We tried again the next day with the same party. Bragnoire died in the first attempt and Faolain was dead in about 15 minutes after some failed attempts.

I think, people who complain about the dungeons just don’t try hard enough. It seems they are obsessed of completing a dungeon in their first attempt and in case it doesn’t work they open a thread like ‘game is unbalanced, died in dungeon!!!!1111’. That’s really overreacting.

In almost every MMO, there are dungeons which can be done immediately and dungeons that need a few more tries… And in GW2 the majority of dungeons need to be tried a few more times. That’s okay because there are only a few dungeons and I don’t think that it’s asking too much to take some time and try them a few times. There is absolutely no need to drown in desperation because drowned people can’t see the greatness of the dungeons.
