My two coppers on the subject of dungeons and bosses. I would love to see us get to the point that “Bonus Event!” in a dungeon would make the group go “wooo-hoo!” rather than “ugh =(”. Right now they add five minutes of time to a dungeon for next to nothing in reward. I am pretty sure that I get more xp/karma/coin by clearing the harpies event just so I can sell outside AC than I do for the troll boss.

Also, why is the trash in nearly every dungeon harder than the bosses in many cases? And not harder due to some abilities or mechanics, but rather there are just 12 of them and 5 of us kind of hard, just stacked in such large numbers just to give the appearance of difficulty. Money sink?

Additionally, a comment aimed at boss/encounter designers. Making a boss fight or encounter last 5-10 minutes, while doing the same silly thing over and over in order to defeat it does not mean it is epic or challenging. There are many events that take time, not skill and are frankly boring.

On a related note, I have noticed that I am running into champion level mobs randomly in a questing zone, not tied to an event or dynamic event. I rally a few people and we take it down and we get nothing but some xp, maybe a few coppers if we are lucky and the RNG grants us loot on the mob. No chest, no karma, no achievements nothing. What is the point of those creatures?

Anyway, it may have come off as hate, it’s not, just questions. My wife and I love the game, just wondering when/if stuff like this will change, or is this the way it is supposed to be.

Some of this might be answered in other posts, and I am sorry I didn’t look first. I don’t really come here to read news, I read reddit, but I just felt fired up and thought to post here while I was thinking about it. (I’m more of a forum voyeur anyway as I am too old to stomach trolls)
