Sorry but in a game where every piece of usefull equipment costs gold, i would feel really dumb to play without reward.

Yes salvage all the items you get and sell the materials on trading post you will get over 1 gold for any path.
I remember soloing AC, and even without exploits. The second from last phase was the hardest but you had to get creative to keep the bosses separated. I think adding solo achievements to dungeons would give them new life.
Adding Dungeon Dailies (with a small chance at an ascended box) would go MILES towards revitalizing dungeons, and the best part is that it wouldn’t even increase the liquid rewards so John Smith is happy! Dungeon Dailies in the same style as the Fractal Dailies (Do path 1 of W dungeon, path 2 of X dungeon, path 3 of Y dungeon, Story Mode of Z Dungeon maybe even with reward modifiers for difficulty of the dungeon/path) would revitalize dungeons with minimal effort on Anet’s part!
