Dungeons nobody wants to run?
Nice guild you have.
I run HotW and CoE almost every day if possible. I wouldn’t say CoE is that hard to find a group for. HotW P2 and P3 are a different story – P1 is quick and easy.
Resident Thief
Sometimes, I guess it takes a group who wants to do the content for the sake of playing together rather than personal gains. I’m pretty thankful that my dungeon crew is more about playing the dungeons rather than questioning which one it is. I got everything I wanted, and I helped them and many of our other friends get what they needed. Now that we have our skins and our dungeon master titles, we don’t even really do dungeons anymore unless one of our friends needs it or if it’s part of the daily.
Aside from the fact that the dungeons are in need of rework, some people are just selfish when it comes to helping their “friends” out with dungeons. Oh well. :/
People have only so much time to work with. Helping others is great and most will if they have the time to, but it’s just egocentric to think everyone should forgo their own goals in favor of other peoples’ goals.
You’d be better off blaming poor design for the problem. Anet has given people very little reason to run dungeons at all.
Tokens for gear and weapons? Decent source of gold (not considering CoF)?
Yeah, no reason to do dungeons at all…
And if anyone wants to run Arah, they wont let me in the group because I don’t have full Arah armor -_-
uhh wut
I want to run CoE and TA, no one wants TA…
Nice guild you have.
This is the sad truth. Find a guild with people who enjoy playing the game for what it is.
As many has noticed, something is not right with your guilds reason to not let you join Arah without Arah Armor.
1. The Arah armor is just as good as any other Exotic armor, deference is Cosmetic. You can get the same stats on your armor without even ever do Arah story, so maby they where require you to have full exotic?
2. If they wan’t you to have full exotic they are themselfes very bad players, they should understand that in this game, gear is not as important as player skills, sure you maby do more damage and get withstand one more bash but in the end it’s all how good you are to handle the situation.
3. Find a new guild, you can join up to 3 guilds but only represent one (With each character). So my advice to you is to find another guild se if they fit your playstyle.
Edit: (Oh and I like TA and CM alot, I don’t care much for CoE since everyone plays it and have that armor and I will never again play AC)

How do you find another guild? My guild is a bunch of selfish punks…

only neglected dungeon is SE…
Nobody likes dredges >___>
Also revamped AC…..for different reasons.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

SE path 1 is Inquest, which is also a short path. Are they more preferable to dredge I wonder
I like the SE light armor and am really trying to horde the tokens for my mesmer :P. Slow process so far. it is quite sad more often than not ppl are asking for other dungeons more… particularly cof..
I’m willing to bet that the Arah armor is to show you have experience.
I run all dungeon except AC, be it before patch or after… I just hate it. But what i usually tend to run are arahs and CMs. If you are on EU, whisp me, i group with pugs all the time (just for kicks… huh fun i mean)
I’m willing to bet that the Arah armor is to show you have experience.
But why would you want to wear all Arah armor, it’s quite ugly. Certain pieces mixed in can look nice.. the gloves are cool on a Nerco. And the Heavy can look good on a Warrior if a few pieces are replaced.

caudacus was by far the hardest dungeon to find groups for. got my tokens by now, but when I was going for my set it sometimes took ages finding a group, and when I found one, we often hat 2-3 players who didn’t know how to play their class or the dungeon at all, which lead to a few aborted runs.
right after that I’d say new AC. mainly because now you can’t just take anyone anymore, so you have to be very inquisitive before accepting people into your group.
arah I have no interest in as the armor looks so incredibly bad, even worse than cof (to me! I’m sure others like it, but I just can’t help but think ‘oh great, another 13 year old wow player who thinks all the skulls/flames are cool’ if I see someone with it), but it certainly would be hard finding a group now, having done lupi only twice doesn’t count as experienced enough =)

Exactly, that what puts me off from collecting Arah tokens with my engi. Sure, it’d be great to walk around bragging with the armour from the final dungeon, but the medium one is just sooo ugly. :p
I usually go to any dungeon where guildies want to go. I’ve done CoF grinding a few times, but my main drive for doing dungeons is just having fun with people. Especially if mumble/teamspeak is involved.
But true, HotW was particularly difficult to find players for.
And since AC’s revamp, it’s not frequented as it used to be. At least on my server. I also wouldn’t recommend it as the first dungeon to new players, cause without at least some experience, it gets annoying very soon.

Every so often I get a group of AC virgins from the guild and take them in and explain all the fights, and never really had any issues regardless of the teams level. But in general I don’t think it’s that bad for first timers as long as people admit it’s their first time. Most of the issues I’ve seen have been from people being afraid to say it’s their first time, because they believe they will be kicked. If they say it’s their first time I’ll tell them to stay back behind a Reflective Wall and let someone pull in the mini-spiders one wave at a time. Explain the Hodkins burrow fight etc. The real issue come when they run in and pull whole rooms, kill front burrow etc.

It’s not about the armor but the fact you have it. It shows you likely have experienced on most of the paths. Tokens also work as well. Just look at some posts on gw2lfg. There’s some that want you to ping these.
Yikes, find a new guild!
I run coe every day, not that hard to find a group on the lfg site but Khyber feel free to add me and let me know if you ever want to run it. I also want to add hotw to my regular schedule so I’m up for that, too!
I have to say I find it utterly bizarre that people ask for Arah armour to run Arah with a straight face. The only reason I’d want to run Arah is for the tokens. If I wanted to farm for gold that will come out of any dungeon anyway, I wouldn’t pick the hardest one with the highest chance of drama and failure.
I’m secretly hoping they revamp CoF so everyone does CoE. That’s probably my favorite dungeon.
….nobody in my guild wants to run Arah, HoTW, SE, or CoE.
Love Arah, didn’t care much for Hotw, SE had its appeal and really liked CoE. I’ve only been in a few guilds and none of them ran anything but CoF p1 with regularity :P
Tried Arah a couple times with different guilds and it was worse than groups I used to get using gw2lfg.com
My advice would be don’t rely on guilds to get you into the dungeons you want to run. Use lfg and get your own groups. You’ll be glad you did. I see people in guild working on there DM title or they just want to run a particular dungeon. If its anything other than CoF guild chat is ghostly silence GL with your dungeons
