Dungeons should be more like sPvP
Dungeons are a method for PvE players to gain exotic items. This is what the barter currency is for. They are not necessarily meant to be a cash machine for exotic geared characters. It is only the player community that excludes new players with gear checks.

Maybe not the gear scaling thing, but I wouldn’t mind the ‘all skills/traits unlocked’. add a retrainer npc and we got the real jam going down.
It would be nice to have a quick way to change up builds w/ out leaving the dungeon.

It the player community that excludes new players with gear checks. In that light, it’s not necessary to give players exotic gear to run dungeons.
For some players, dungeons aren’t a means to exotic gear. It is the type of content we enjoy. If players running dungeons had access to gear like in sPvP, people would do build checks instead of gear checks. Better for casuals and for more serious players because no one would be sacrificing their gold to tailor their build for different groups.
Tbh the idea that I have to do non-dungeon content also isn’t appealing. But in actual fact, it isn’t so bad. We still can get champ boxes from dungeons so there is a source of Bloodstone dust (obviously can’t be compared to champ farm trains but it is still viable). No problem with Empyreal Fragments. Dragonite Ore is the mat dungeons can’t provide. The only consolation is that temple events pay out 30 dragonite ores.
I think what you state by gear disparity is true. But in reality for me, I get annoyed by ppl with bad mannerisms and bad attitude much more than I do with ppl with poor gear choice. So I guess our experience differs.
Oh and for dungeons to be more like sPvP, condition builds need to be worth a kitten . Interesting thought overall
