Q:

Been playing GW2 for some time now, and notice there is always easy paths and hard paths for each and every dungeons. Would like to know which paths are the easiest to farm their respective tokens. Can you guys give this newbie some guidelines?

For know I know that AC and CM all paths are relatively easy, so is CoF path 1 and 2. But if i want to farm tokens to get certain weapons or armors, which path should i go to get them?

AC : All Paths
CM : All Paths
TA : ?
SE : Heard Path 3 is the easiest.
CoF : Path 1 and 2
Hotw : ?

CoE : ?
Arah : ?
, but heard path 4 is painful to finish
FOTM : Anything but the dredge miner.

TA: Up Up
SE: Path 1 is also fairly easy
Hotw: Path 1
CoE: Path 1
Arah: Path 3, or 2 but its longer than 3

New player here interested in some knowledgeable responses to this. Ive only been around a few weeks, Hit 80 on my 3rd day, spent the next week grinding hardcore for exotics until I was decked in craftables and a decent mystic forge exotic weap .

Once i achieved that much I went to hop into some explorable with only as much knowledge as youtube could grant and boy did I get a rude awakening my first trip into TA. Only other Exp I have been to at this point is AC on multiple runs. No such thing as groups looking to help newer folk fit into the endgame and yet to find a guild that’s mainly into dungeon runs on Tarnished Coast so not to hijack your thread but I am wondering whats the best bet for someone new as to what to head into first as far as far as having to learn it on the fly?

And this is why i created this post for. This is to give me (and also other new dungeon crawlers) an idea of the difficulty of all the dungeons, so we dont get caught off guard by certain elements that might complicate stuff.

Lets say, if i know that path 1 and 2 of CoF is easy, then I would pay more attention to path 3 when i m going to do research when i m attempting that path.

No matter what path you do, it will always be difficult if you are new explores. Since dungeons and open world PVE are completely different Ofc some are harder, some are easier.

All i can say is, just do it, learn from it. Once you know the monsters and encounters, they will be a breeze. The only shortcut is, finding a good team to carry you :P

I would say if you get SE down properly path 1 would be the easiest.

By far the shortest (IMO)

TA FW/FW is much easier than UP/UP for new groups.

Strictly easiest fractal is water, but it’s longish. Easiest fractal that is short is swamp.

Your right about AC dunno about CM never did it.

TA all paths are very doable but up/up is easiest. F/F isn’t hard at all either.

Hotw I hear all paths are doable and its all easy. P1 I think is the easiest.

Dunno about CoE.

Arah…. p3 is easiest but Lupicus can be a bugger if you dont know what your doing. The last boss in p3 requires some coordination but again if you know what your doing its no problem. The other paths take much more time.

Fotm… you get what you get there. I found it all easy…. but interesting.

AC: Path 1 (I personally think burrow event in 1 is easy and path 1 is the only path that doesn’t have a timed event meaning you can speed run it the fastest, all are easy though)
CM: Path 1/3 are both pretty similar in length/difficulty
TA: Up
SE: Path 3
CoF: Path 1
CoE: Path 1
HotW: Path 1
Arah: Path 3

TA: Don’t know them off by heart, probably the one with the spiders
SE: 3
CoF: 1
CoE: 2
HotW: 1
Arah: 3

This is in terms of difficulty, in terms of length it’s a bit different provided your group can actually do the harder parts.

SE: Path 3 (Koptev)
CoF: Path 1 (Ferrah)
HoTW: Path 1 (Butcher)

This is in a mixture of difficulty and length.

I actually thought AC path 2 was easiest but its kind of splitting hairs between 1 and 2. I can understand you wanting to farm Arah for gear or whatever. I enjoyed just doing it because it was there and supposed to be the most difficult (which I think it really is). But you can’t really lump any of Arah in with the rest of those easy dungeons.

AC path 2 is definitely the easiest all around. Paths 1 and 3 aren’t hard, but the burrow challenges are a direct damage dps check that many pugs have issue with.

AC has too many bugs in path 2 in the final room that can lead to most any groups end (8-12 up in the last room at once is not fun). Path 1 is by far the easiest, and there isnt really any dps check at the burrow event (I recall a recent video of it being soloed), any group in level appropriate gear should be able to do it as long as they know the order to kill them in
