Easiest to Hardest Raid bosses
I would give each boss multiple difficulty ratings (10/10 hardest, 1/10 easiest):
Vale Guardian:
DPS: 5/10
Mechanics: 5/10 for ~5 players, 3/10 for ~5 players
Gorseval:
DPS: 10/10
Mechanics: 4/10 for ~5 players, 2/10 for ~5 players
Sabetha:
DPS: 7/10
Mechanics: 7/10 for ~2 players, 6/10 for ~8 players
Sloth:
DPS: 4/10
Mechanics: 9/10 for all players
Bandit Trio:
DPS: 1/10
Mechanics: 1/10 for all players
Matthias
DPS: 6/10
Mechanics: 10/10 for all players
Ranking:
Starting with easiest:
1. Bandit Trio

3. Gorseval
4. Sabetha
5. Sloth
6. Matthias
1. Gorseval
2. Prison Camp
3. Slothasor
4. VG
5. Sabetha
6. Matthias
bandit prison camp is actually the only raid I haven’t completed
This week I joined a group, did Matthias, and then we did sloth, and then swapped out about 3 players for randoms from LFG, and then wiped repeatedly on prison camp.
Vale Guardian 10/10 never beaten
never try the other
Easiest

Hmm I think I might have to put Gors as one of the harder ones.. I feel like I still don’t completely understand what’s going on. What amazes me is how the exact same comp I used to beat Gors with 40s remaining is the same comp that hits the enrage timer and Gors is still at 15%. Like wtf!? It’s not the same players so maybe that could be a factor but still, we’re talking about a whole 2 minutes that the same comp is falling behind. Idk any tips guys? Or is it just a l2p issue with the PUGs who don’t know they’re classes proper rotation?

Assuming everyone is running the correct build, yes, that gap is due to bad execution. Even if everyone isn’t running the exact right thing, that gap is largely due to bad execution.
So yeah, people aren’t using a solid DPS rotation, and/or they’re getting CCed by the smash or prison a lot, et cetera.
My learning curve for gorseval phase 5 has been :
1. Get egg every single time for a few run… and being yelled at
2. Then I started to completely focus on eggs wasting like 5 whole seconds of DPS in order to properly avoid eggs
3. Then (since they fixed it), I realized I can just continue to dps, count to 2 when I see the orange circle and dodge. (yes you can dodge into other people egg without problem now)
If your group is not confortable enough with eggs they waste a lot of time at that last phase and it’s usually where everyone wipe.
(Sabetha flamewall has pretty much the same learning curve)
Well uhhh I have a bit of a different take on this. I think people just think Vale Guardian is easy because they have so much practice against it that it doesn’t seem to bad. That fight still punishes you hard for poor tank movement, and has graphical bugs that can easily cause a wipe. from the perspective of someone who runs with an experienced group every week, we rarely die to any raid boss besides Vale Guardian (unless we are doing some weird kittenstrats).
For the same reason I think that Matthias is much easier than most people assume – people just haven’t practiced the fight much compared to others. Many times I have seen groups struggle against sloth but kill Matthias quickly after having all the mechanics explained to them.
Also I have the opposite point of view as it seems some people here do regarding gorseval…he is extremely easy. Every player goes through all the same mechanics at the same time, everything he does is predictable (no significant random elements). If you have one person good at calling the mechanics then that fight is a cakewalk.
So for the list of “most likely to kill experienced raiders” (starting from easiest):
Tres Bandidos
Gorseval
Sabetha
Slothasor (post-nerf)
Matthias
Vale Guardian
Slothasor (pre-nerf)
Even the people in my own raid group disagree with me about VG, Matthias, and sloth (and we have discussed it at length) but I still stand by my ordering!
