Elementalist might stacking
Thing about Dragons Tooth and Comet is:
1. Camera facing, based on terrain you will have to aim either up or down while casting.
2. Walking forward or backwards before casting it.
Basically, aim up/down, walk a tiny bit backwards or forward and cast it. After cast has finished you can move cam back to normal.
Now difference between Dragons tooth and comet is, d tooth has a rly short cast time so you don’t have to face up/down long while Coment has a longer cast time.
So make sure your camera is facing up/down during the full cast then it’ll land in front of u.

It might also help using the dagger’s fire field in your case instead of scepter, since its a lot bigger, thus easier to land your dragons tooth in.
Other than that kitten y’s explanation is spot on
Apparently your name is a curse word according to anet lol
Just in case you wanted to see a focus fire field being used. Note looking down doesn’t always work with comet and dragons tooth. Some maps have dead spots where the dragon tooth or comet will go under the map.

Frozen burst is faster than 2nd dragon’s tooth.
Learn how to blast in focus fire field, especially if you want to solo. In party that knows how to blast it doesn’t really matter I suppose. Learn how to blast in both fields with all blasts imo.
Dragons tooth / ice comet basically work with their range – for example dragons tooth has range of 900, if you look straight ahead you can still blast with it, you just have to run range of 900 and put fire field there (you can cast fire field with distance, so you can precast it while running). Looking straight up will still cast it at 900 range, but the range is in vertical direction, hence it casts nearly right in front of you.
Understanding you’re basically always casting at range and that with view position you set at which angle from you the 900 range is applied you’ll notice you can blast almost anywhere, even where there’s a roof that’s less than 900 range above you. I said almost anywhere, though =D
EDIT: Ah, when I was still learning this, I liked using the focus fire field perpendicular to me at various ranges and trying to hit ice comet / dragons tooth in that way. Naturally, it’s much easier when the fire field is lined up in parallel to your view position, but you never really master the ranges imo.

Yea that’s what I use now, that video is almost 7 months old.
I find that if I place the fire field so it’s vertical in front of my character and before I use comet, I step back to the end of the fire field…it will usually land at the other end. It’s a little longer to cast but it’s usually reliable.
