Evolved Husk DPS Tactics
Guardian uses the Consecrated Ground trick to get two casts of Sanctuary back to back. This gives a lot of lock down. When the last sanctuary is running out, the first ele uses Tornado. When that is at like 85% the second ele uses his. When that tornado ends use Ice Bow #5. With good DPS it should be relatively easy. A few profession specific things…
Ele = Use tempest defense since the Husk will be CC’ed for 100% of the fight its a big DPS boost.
thief = Use Thieve’s guild but bear in mind they will put defiant on the boss and possibly mess up your Ice Bow freeze.
Guardian = Make sure you have Unscathed Contender since you should have 100% uptime its a big boost.
Warrior = use Phalanx strength and drop your Battle Standard at the start of the fight to ensure your team doesn’t run out of Fury or Might. With the double Sancturary followed by Tornados it will be difficult for teh ele’s to blast fire fields during the fight at all.

Did that few times.
Blast 25 might and get stealth.
Guardian uses double sanctuary “trick”.
After second sanctuary eles chain their tornadoes.
This stuff varies with your party comp. Basically you need to have lots of dps and chain lots of cc to make sure that husk can’t use his aoe attack. 2 eles/engis, backstabbing thief, maybe some quickness and double sanctuary guardian should be enough.
A reply from Nike himself!
Many thanks for the explanation, and thanks for all the guides etc you and your guild put out – basically learnt everything from these.
I would like to add something for warrior, make sure he doesnt use his banners for the Alpha boss before, and make sure your ele’s rotate their lightning storms.
About the tornado, when there is 2 seconds left to your sanctuary ( or tornado ) tell the other ele so he can activate his, there is a slight delay between activation and the knockdown, I’ve seen the boss use his aoe a couple time during that short delay.
Its also very possible without using double sanctuary if you dont like that, bane signet on guardian and binding blade or mace 5 on warrrior, but you need really good dps.

To successfully melee Husk you need to stop him from summoning the vines on the platform which is the biggest threat for the party. Using the methods mentioned above to lock down the boss should do the trick. Husk has 2.6 mil HP so at 40k dps you’re looking at a 65 sec lockdown duration or 52 sec @ 50k dps.
Any knockback skill on the boss will provide a knockdown that ignores defiant. Kick, hammer 4 on warrior, gust on ele, lh 3, etc, etc. If your thief steals http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Branch_Bash from it, its another cc. Works amazing in arah at melandru when the thief steals off the trees. I guess you could even power block him with a mes, but he still has other attacks besides the thorns.
