Instead of banning this in dungeons which basically does nothing for preventing Lupicus skips in Arah for some classes, you could just as easily make him a trigger for other bosses. Funnily enough this is exactly the case with p3 and p4

They should just take away Hammer and mainhand Sword from Warrior in dungeons. That would fix the jumping through Arah and the baddies in PvE at the same time.

Well it’s kind of a shame. Now i won’t be able to get to lupi in like 8 minutes on my thief anymore to practice solos but ~20 mins instead. Also, at least 20g wasted on all of my characters.

Let’s take a moment to commemorate Healing seed pods, frost guns and the like.

You can pretty much do path 2 on any class that has a jump and you don’t need a rifle. You can even use LH on an Ele.

Or just don’t skip anything, I don’t even know where the jumps are and I seem to do fine.

They are only useful for skipping Lupicus. They don’t really prevent any of the AFK spots for any of the bosses.

I can still do the P4 skip in less than 3 minutes on my warrior for that matter. Not that i’m a fan of skipping things like that in arah, but…

Some guy in a pug party was showing us the p1 lupi skip because he was in a hurry, it was 4 warriors and my ele, there was a part where you needed a leap, so the 4 warriors just used #2 sword and it went smoothly for them, tried RTL first time and didn’t work, conjured axe leap didn’t work either, almost giving up and letting them finish the dungeon while I wait I decided to try one last time, apparently, LH #2 has it’s uses :o

Next band aid, remove leap (or cripple it) in all skills.

What frost guns? The only reference I can find to them is in Mount Maelstrom, but they are an environmental package and aren’t available for stocking.

And lol at using the rifle in Arah.

Make all encounters inaccessible (mobs green, interactions disabled) unless previous one is completed. Problem solved at its core.

I’ll tell you if you post me a video of 4 engineers dancing naked while another engineer solos the legendary grawl shaman @ fractal lv48 with pistol 1 only. I bet you’re too casual for that.

Too bad though, now I gotta work on my leap skills. No more being lazy and using rifles for easy jumps…

The missing condition remove actually has more effect on me than the leap which can be 100% replaced by leap of faith.

Next update: Leap of Faith can’t be used in dungeons anymore.

I like the frost gun more than the rifle. I brought both of them w/ my warrior to Tequatle fight as my exclusive weapons of choice. And still do more damage than afk players at the zone.

That was confirmation bias. It didn’t actually prevent you from being knocked down.

It did, it just didn’t prevent you from landing somewhere you didn’t want to land.

No, there is no bias. I went through 250+ rifles (playing around in CoE/Arah) using stability during the jumps and never once has it malfunctioned and sent me flying backwards. You even see the “Invulnerable” message pop up if it tries to knock you back. When it does fail (ex. target area is obstructed) it will make you glide on the ground to the targeted spot instead of flying to it. Either way, stability prevents the unnecessary knockbacks, which can be a kitten if you’re on top of a tree and have a long ways to fall down.

That being said, I’m finding it quite fun exploring with my engi’s rifle atm. 800 range jump with no fails

I’ve been knocked down from the rifle while I had stability. I’ve seen it happen to others, too.

Interesting, i might be mistaken then. I didn’t use it often enough to judge.

Whilst using the rifle to jump walls in certain places I would pop stability. When the rifle broke, what would happen is this: The jump would go off, the rifle would be gone, but the jump would not go as high or as far forward. I’d usually just careen into the ground.. or a bunch of deadeyes -_-. To counter this I would aim as far as I could each time whilst using stabilty (not always possible but sometimes worked out). Many(Most?) times however, yes, I would still get the knockdown whilst having stab on, seems like another chance in itself as to what happens there.
