Use a bundle like birthday blaster or something while throwing.

You pop a consumable or a skill that changes your skill bar while you’re in the throwing animation. It drops a stone on the ground as well as continues to throw it.
Also useful for the rubble repair events in Silverwaste to duplicate rubble.
As far as it breaking the shield legitimately, this is even allowed on 3 man records and up as long as you’re not using consumables to do it.
