FIX FIRE GOLEM BOSS IN SE
Condition removals + Dodge + Don’t use any conditions on boss or he’ll heal himself (bleed crits can’t be helped other conditions can be avoided). Spread out. Try to find a spot where you can quickly go out of line of sight.
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •
I know all the tactics for him.
There is, however, a point when something is so tedious and difficult that it drains any fun out of your playtime. This boss is that. It should not be the way it is.

Is this explorable path 1 or story mode?

It’s story mode. It is the exact boss you mentioned above.
This must be the golem in story mode…He is such a pain to kill.
Yes he is. There is a design flaw in a game when something is “a pain”
I have yet to speak to someone who doesn’t believe this boss should be addressed.

Yea just wondered as in explorable you have to fight all 3 golems at the same time. In story mode it’s easier as you can imagine :P
Do you know the platform with the Asura portal on it? if you spread around there people on each side there’s also some alcoves that you can run/dodge to in order to heal/remove conditions when needed.
If you’re really desperate and about to die you can always try running out of aggro range while the others fight to quickly regen your health.

In explorable you can pull them one by one, they do a fraction of the damage they do in story (poison boss an exception here), and he’s way easier to evade. Story mode is kitten hard compared to exp on this dungeon.
I had 3 level 80’s with me that had finished it on explore and they gave up after dying so much. I don’t understand how this is the case if this boss in explore is even harder.
Yes I’ve tried that. I have literally tried every different tactic with many different parties.
I know it is is possible but my point is it’s just not good design, it’s a chore, it’s irritating and frustrating. That is a design failure in my eyes. And I know so many people that just couldn’t be bothered running the dungeon in story because they just got so sick of it.
Thanks for trying to help though.
I’ve done the story mode a couple of times and I agree it’s probably one of the harder story mode fights and less forgiving. As for pulling them one by one, didn’t even know you could do that. Always took them on 3 at a time (which I guess was the way it was intended).
All I can say is that it can be done it’s just not easy which I guess is your point in it being storymode it should be easier for casuals.

I would consider myself more than a casual player. I have beaten all the dungeons before this on both story and explore. They are difficult but not too the point of frustration that this one boss has caused.
Ah yes, this boss. The first time we fought him we had trouble, but after that it’s not a difficult boss fight. If you have someone in your group with retalitation or skills that reflect projectiles the fight is extremely easy, just requires on person to attack him in melee range.
You can find myself and my friends fighting him here:

Also make sure if you decide to use condition damage, it has very short duration, otherwise it will be all for naught as he uses them to heal himself.
I hope this helps, if you want to see it on explorable mode, just let me know and i’ll post that one too.
I do understand why most would find this fight frustrating though, especially for pug groups or casuals who just want to get through it for the story.

Are you on a US or EU server? I can do it with you. This fight is nothing compared to Giganticus Lupicus. Just need the right people. My Characters name is Nihilus Aurelius.

It wasn’t meant as offensive :P I just meant that the story modes are meant for the more casual/non-hardcore player in mind but still a bit harder than normal out in the world PvE stuff and should therefore be easier than explorables and doable by the majority of the player base.
Where as the fire golem is a tough one and would probably do better as a boss in explorable mode (rather than some of the others we’ve encountered that we’re easy bosses with huge health pools).
I would suggest trying the method Celestea has mentioned. Never tried it myself this way but it might work

Wait, Kudu’s golem or Iron Forgeman. Iron Forgeman is easy.
Kudu’s golem. I do understand that. But I didn’t die fighting him. Mainly because I didn’t bother ressing my friends, used a ranged weapon and dodge his attacks.
You should never res your friends in Fire golem boss. They should res themselves instead. Otherwise, you will take your friend down along with yourself. Use range weapons and dodge his aoe.
Fire golem boss should at least have a nerf in max hp.
