FOTM personal reward levels.
I’m pretty sure that your reward level just effects the relics you get and the chance you’ll get a ring/fractal weapon. I mean, from 20 on, you have the chance to get an infused ring or fractal weapon, so I guess they have better luck with the RNG. Like you said, Magic Find doesn’t affect chest loot.
I get what you mean though… I’ve only gotten 1 fractal skin so far in my FoTM experiences
Are these like Magic Find? Do you get a higher chance to get better loot when you have a higher personal reward level, or does it just effect the daily chest at the end of the dungeon?
I’m at 29 FOTM, and people lower than me seem to be getting the fractal weapons, infused rings, and constantly getting rares and exotics out of chests. ArenaNet said MF doesn’t effect this.
I run with my guild, and sometimes the one person that makes the FOTM take too long is the one getting all the loot. The “RNG” in this game needs to be fixed immediately as well.
I wouldn’t really call it magic find per say, the higher you go, the more relics you get.
I personally farm fractal 30, because it’s in the middle.
Fractal skins/infused weapons are all part of the daily drops.
It’s like when sometimes you get black lion stuff from your pve daily, or you’ll just get jugs of karma/mystic coin.
I was going to make a new topic, but I guess this one will do: Does anybody know if, say, my reward level is 19, that if I do fractal level 20, will it count against the 10-19 daily?
EDIT: Ran level 20, got the 20-29 daily. Ran 10 after and didn’t get a daily chest. Answered my own question.

Old thread, but to the last poster:
When you did level 20 with a personal reward level of 19, you received a tier 10-19 daily chest. You did NOT receive a tier 20-29 chest.
This is why you did not get an additional tier 10-19 chest by doing another run at level 10.
You can NOT get additional daily chests by running fractals at a higher level than your personal reward level.
I can not stress this enough to people new to FOTM. There is not really a big benefit to trying a high level run if your personal reward level is low.
