No, they said we would get Abaddon OR Thaumanova fractal. a vote I sincerely reget, as a GW1 lover, but alas, they propably never will do Abaddon. They made a chaotic chaos fractal which is just a rummage of the older fractals before abaddon, so I guess they just don’t wanna.
The problem is that new fractals don’t change your daily reward. They should increase the amount of daily fractals as well (like having 4 fractal T4 dailies per day).

They should a specific daily Tier 3 and Tier 4, that way we may see some more people in the T3 LFG. Also I hope the T2 specific dailies will every be higher than 35. They always seem to be the stuck on the lowest options, and I still need a few 40-50 fractals for the adept achievement.

No, not unless ANet changes their collective mind. They said adding it would invalidate the purpose of voting.

They did not — it’s up to you as the person claiming they did to find where they said it. I’d check reddit for a summary of an AMA or ‘Guild Chat’ around the time.

Sure, we need new fractals and there are plenty of ideas for them. We don’t “need” Fall of Abaddon, even if (arguably) ANet “should” be delivering new fractals more often.

The way they’re handling GW1 lore these days – I’d rather NOT get it. I’d rather have a good idea of what it might be inside my head instead of seeing it in-game and ruined.

I hope they bring the fall of Abaddon. Having played GW1 I’m looking forward to seeing that.
Latest post I could find was where calvin said something to the element that he doesn’t want the fractal made because it would invalidate the voting.
Although I disagree with that because it’s well over 200 years by now, meaning it doesn’t invalidate the vote. It just changes the poll to ‘which fractal do you want now’ which became thaumanova.

We don’t need it, but we’d rather have it. Plus as it was almost in the game, I’m sure they had designed most of it, at least conceptually. It shouldn’t be too hard to make it happen.

True, it’s been a long time, they made their point, votes count. Now we can move on and say that Dessa screwed up some calculation and created unwillingly a fractal to the Fall of Abaddon. Voilà, everyone is happy ^^
