Favorite Dungeon
I like CoE because it’s insanely easy but it used to have this reputation for being harder than the rest, so mostly competent old timers run it. Versus something like AC which is actually a more mechanically challenging dungeon but gets all the newbies.
I like helping newbies, but it’s always nice to just have a totally silent 3 path run at like 3 am on a weekend.
It’s aetherpath for sure. There are so many mechanics there that other dungeons don’t have. It’s also one of the few dungeons that didn’t just become stupidly easy after elite specs as there’s always the possibility to mess up ooze escort with newbies.
Always loved CoE, mostly for the setting and all that stuff.

Aetherpath and Arah 4 (with the exception of Ghasem).
Caudecus’s Manor by far. I like how this dungeon can go from a quick 1 minute run to a hard encounter duo to lack of thief/inexperienced players
WAS kinda same with CoE before HoT. People struggled with subject Alpha duo to his aoe attacks, here for they where stacking in a corner. Tho it was super easy if you could dodge that properly. Nowadays it has become a powercreep so less of an issue. But was fun to see that before HoT.

Aetherpath and Arah (especially P4).
I like the looks of AC but bosses and explo stories not so much (would’ve preferred more gw1 lore)
I also like SE especially story – I just love places related to gw1.
I like underwater combat so HotW is nice as well.
Oh also TA Story, because Caithe and Faolain are my fav characters.
CoE. Because when you lfg it, the pugs you get are almost always good. Even in this age of dead dungeons.
Twilight arbor for a fourth set of salad armor for my salads <3 yes I’m shallow. Fwd/up fills up fast in LFG and is virtually always a one-shot even though everyone sucks at skipping – the ones who do know where to go included, as they won’t wait for the ones who don’t know where to go, so it turns into this strung-out mess of aggro and triggered volatile blossoms and corpses. Aside from skipping fail, these two paths are an easy deadly bloom farm, to feed that all-important Fashion Wars machine.
Arah and Caudecus
Twilight Arbor is by far the best for me, mechanical wise, boss wise and strats wise \o/

arah, to me just about all of it was really good. I loved the lore. I loved the scenery and large expansiveness of the dungeon. And I always loved lupi.
Out of all dungeon fights I think lupi is a common favorite for a few reasons. One of the reasons is that he has attacks you actually want/need to dodge/block/reflect. Too many bosses die before they are even dangerous. Another being that his model is large enough that you can actually see telegraphs among the usual visual clutter. Compare this to other bosses in dungeons, and I think Lupi really is an outlier.
Heck compare this even to modern day fractals. The other day I got one shotted during molten duo. I had no idea why, checked my combat log. There was a rabbit hidden in the flame aoes (red name on top of redish aoe, opps). I never felt cheated at lupi, if I died, I knew what mistake I made.
edit: Not fully true, his aoe circles use to be (maybe still are?) completely useless in determining where the danger is. But by know I know to just assume I need to block the whole thing.
TA – Twilight Arbor. Having the story take a different turn depending on which path you choose is an interesting idea. Still hoping they might bring back Fynonna’s Path someday.
Dungeons might be almost dead now, they still had a big impact on the game and the deisgn of later content. Lupicus certainly seems to have inspired the design of Gorseval. And honestly, he was tougher than any raid boss at release when we started doing Arah.
