so I heard AC got harder so I come up to the forum QQ and crying…

and I entered AC, to my dismay, finished path 1-3 no wipe, hardly any death.

Oh my god, please make some hard dungeon so I can actually QQ and complain.

The changes have pointed out yet another flaw in battle mechanics. As a mesmer, I can’t cleanse fear from myself or my party members. Null Field is disabled when I get hit with fear. Even when I got lucky and managed to cast it before being hit, I literally ran through it but still had fear on me. On its own, this would just be a minor annoyance but once that fear pushed me into a mob of gravelings that happened to have a champion in it. That came very close to becoming a party wipe. From then on my party decided to skip the Cave Troll because he’s now more trouble than he’s worth.

In any case, fear, or rather the abilities that can remove fear, need to be fixed before such a mechanic can be used by dungeon bosses.

null field is not stun breaker, why should it be enabled while under cc effect?

decoy, blink, and other stunbreakers works fine to remove fear.

Fear is a condition. Null Field is supposed to remove one condition per pulse for every ally standing in it. Going with that logic, Null Field should be able to remove fear but it doesn’t. I also feel that powers that specifically can remove conditions should be available when conditions are applied to players. Shake it Off is a good example of this. It can be used when feared and knocked down.

By the way, I find Blink unreliable at removing fear. Sometimes it works but sometimes I’m still feared after doing it so I just blink and run in a different, random direction.

Fear is not in the same definition as the other conditions like bleeds. Just look at Stability and notice what it prevents. Shake it off breaks stun due to the property of being a stunbreaker and not because it removes 1 condition.

But hey, if Null Field break stuns I wouldn’t mind at all

I did not know conditions had types. I also feel that’s stupid because it makes condition removals confusing if they don’t remove all conditions.
