I’ve been playing the game mostly solo and doing dungeons with a group of 3 other friends. Today I needed to get my last dungeon run done for monthly so I decided to try to PUG it.
We did really well, learned some new tricks like speed running, no wipes. We got to the last boss and when he was down to about 10% hp the party was kicked back to the entrance all of a sudden and the leader invited his friends.

I don’t understand how this is allowed to function this way. Kills grouping outside of friends/guild (has for me).

After talking to one of the other guys, he said this is common and only thing you can do is add the player to your blocked list.

How does that even work? Once everyone is kicked the boss will regen his health when the group leader disengages. Also how does one person kick 4 people?

I also don’t understand what he said. Truth is that it’s really bad option to let everyone vote for kick. There are too many trolls out there for such possibility. Sure, you can avoid it, play with your guildies, but why should you be afraid of kicking at last boss every time you join PUG?

That means one of his own friends voted to kick him? O.o

Saw this in STO when they first implemented kicking. You’d get to the final boss and if it’s timed properly you could actually kick a number of people at once and get the loot for yourself because the chest wouldn’t register for the other people in the party making the whole ordeal a waste of time. They finally had to give the dungeons an autoloot function so that people would receive their loot despite this happening. No chests involved.

2. How do you know he invited friends?

Instance owner could have DCed or left instance. That would explain all 4 being kicked at the same time.

the whole party got kicked to the entrance?
felt more like the instance owner left(leave the party) or switch character to level his alt
and forgot he is the instance owner… lol

^ Yeah.. that is probably it. Left to switch to his ALT sounds about right. Happened at about 10% HP.

One person’s greed has affected four others.

It seems to me either the party leader rage quit for some reason you aren’t telling us or you are not being honest about what really did happen.

It seems to me either the party leader rage quit for some reason you aren’t telling us or you are not being honest about what really did happen.

Good chance he’s jumping conclusions w/o assessing other possibilities. The most likely scenario is that the host tried to switch toons and kicked everyone w/o realizing it would kick everyone or he did and forgot.
