Guild Wars 2

Hi All,

We are two older casual players who want to have a nice first experience with the dungeons of Guild Wars 2. We are both quite busy IRL so have taken the 28th of December “off” for this. We are both geared in almost full exotic and have limited dungeon experience from WoW.

Should we just go to Lions Arch and try to find a friendly group and tell them we are new or is there anything we need to do before then?

Use the lfg tool asking for “casual” or “unexperienced” run and you’ll find like minded players just be sure not to join an experienced group as they won’t treat a newbie very nicely^^ good luck

If you guys are having trouble finding a group. I highly recommand you to watch Strife’s dungeon guide on youtube before you attempt any dungeon. So at least you guys will have an idea what to do and what to expect. Most of the video are no longer than 10min so it wont take you long. (http://www.youtube.com/user/strife025/featured)

Pretty sure a lfg with inexperienced or first time run or stuff like that will fill fast… but may I suggest something of that sort “looking for fellow players to run by Kholer” I’m sure he’d be pleased…

Should we bring any food, special items or stuff like that for AC or the other “easy” dungeons?

Consider looking up the dungeon meta builds for your classes before you go in. These are often much more glassy than builds people run in open world, and so you’ll be much more reliant on active defenses (blinds, dodges, aegis, etc.). However, this is very much worth learning, and you will contribute significantly more in your parties with these builds.
