FoTM Help For A Noob
If you join a higher level group, you will advance your personal level and will not affect their rewards, so you can look for people doing the level 2, 4, 6, 8 dailies. You can probably get on lvl 10 daily groups, just be up-front about it if you haven’t done a particular fractal before. At 10+ the bosses will hit you with agony on their attacks, so if you get an infusion (75 regular relics, the new backpieces from Secrets of Southsun living story have an infusion slot for it), you’ll be better off. Especially if you link this infused item when you say you are newer to Fractals on a 10 group, they’ll be more forgiving.
Please don’t join a lvl 20+ until you have enough AR and experience I don’t mind helping out new players, but new players in 20+ is a bit much..

Ok so only run fractals 1-9 until I have agony resistance. I know for CoF almost everyone usses a class cannon build or at least most warriors. Is there a build like that for fractals?
A tip from me. Just dont run higher than 26. It simply is not worth it.

Not sure where you get 26 from and as someone who runs 48 and 38 dailies almost every day I completely disagree.
At higher lvls it is a fact that the rate for getting skins increases and you will be getting more relics to use for free 20 slot boxes, backpieces for your other chars if you want.
It’s also excellent training for pve and at higher lvls (40+) you will find some of the best pve players in the game, imo

once youve done every fractal you can jump right into 10 as its real easy even with the agony, just tell groups that you have no AR, also at higher fractals a lot of people find it better to run close to glass cannon builds, its a matter of survivability start with a defense set then slowly replace it with pieces of zerker
Warrior build for pretty much everything is full zerker 20/25/0/10/15 with gs and axe/mace. You are there to do a lot of damage. You don’t need any AR until around 20. Have a bow or rifle as you secondary if you plan to range something most of the time like the dredge bosses or your team is dropping like flies. I have a few pieces of knights armor in my bag to swap to in case I pug and they drop like flies.
Ok thanks for all the answers guys, helped me a lot!

it was quite clear that before 2 Patches ago lvl 20 rewarded way better than any 3X or 4X
Seemed to me post last patch they “fixed” the issue….but its not like that…
You drop some more yellows nowaday but you still get more loot and more skins at 2X -.-
For sure there is not a visible increase of rewards.
Its also true that playing lower levels is a real nightmare that would test any experienced players to the limit…
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

I would say 1-9 until you’re comfortable with every fractal, then feel free to jump on 10+ runs, even without AR. A friend of mine that I play with finally got his first bit of AR once we finished 16, and he went down far less than the people with AR

I would agree with above post, take your time to go through the first 9 lvls, and you shouldn’t really worry about having AR til 20+
I had 5ar til I was on about level 28 LOL and I did just fine (45 now :P)
