How come the hardest PvE in the game is the least rewarding? Mindless tasks such as Orr farming and CoF path 1 make 5 to 10 times more gold in an hour then i do running 3 hours of fractals. Hell, i feel lucky when i get 2 rares in a level 38 run (and thats only 40-60s if im lucky). It makes absolutely no sense! Fix it!

What difficulty level are you doing? The harder difficulties (20+, 30+ something like that?) drops tier 6 crafting mats.
I don’t think it’s more money than rushing p1 of CoF, but not much is other than “playing” the market.

I’m doing 48 daily, rewards are joke now, max 3-4 rares, 1-2 cores.
2 zerk runs in cof and i get more money
Oh yea, 2 zer runs=10-12min
48 dily = 1h30min – 2h maybe +

I said i do 38 everyday and then 28 if i have the time. Let me tell you, you make no where near the amount as you would doing a mindless cof run……

Yeah, I’ve just come to the conclusion that fractals is for “gambling” for the weapon skins and trying to get some form of ascended gear. This is just my opinion, but when someone in a PuG asks to farm easily skippable mobs for something other than the mist essence drops, I think it’s just silly because you could make more progress farming outside of fractals. These days, I only hit fractals if my friends want to do it or if it’s part of the daily/monthly.

Fractals’ reward system seems inconsistent to the other reward systems we have. At least with dungeon tokens, for example, there’s a “dump” system you can use after you’ve collected your skin/stats from the dungeon(s). You can either mystic forge the exotics or salvage the 70+ rares if you want coin.

Simple fix to Fractals

- Increase exotic and rare item drop %
- Make fractal weapons sellable
- Bump the level in which fractal weapons drop to 30+
- Make it so fractal weapons drop out of all the end chests, not just the daily extra chest
- Scale the precursor drop rates. Make it so level 80 fractals have the highest drop percentage of precursors in the entire game. (not from mobs but the giant chests after each fractal part)

Simple Fix to dungeons

- Add a unique weapon (or weapon set like fractal weapons) to each of the dungeons (tradable). This weapon or weapons will only drop from the last chest. You will still have your token system but this will bring more traffic into the dungeons that nobody runs. On top of that its an incentive to keep running the dungeon to make money.

Tradeable drops. Whether they come from the boss or chest after the boss it doesnt matter to me

part of the reward of fractals are the relics, but I agree once you have your ascended the gear the rewards are underwhelming to say the least.

An easy fix to both this issue and the issue of farming a specific fractals weapon skin would be to make fractal weapon skins tradeable. Kitten if that’s gonna happen tho.

They’re probably afraid of increasing the rewards since players always find new exploits. Which is really funny because to me it means they don’t do any testing and their team is too small to plug the exploits in a timely manner.

they should change the rewards. we should be able to get amulets from daily 3x and maybe accesories from 4x or something like that. they should also let us salvage ascended gear to get vials/globs/shards and ectos.

i hope we could see some love for fractals in the near future.

If they were to make the kind of changes you guys are asking you have to think that it will result in drastic changes to the market. Not something I see Anet wanting to deal with. I have complained about DR and skins in fractals for months now and nothing has been done. I just don’t understand why I am stuck with 80 pristine relics and 30 rings yet I cant score a skin. Why can’t I use my relics to get other accessories? Laurels replaced relics IMO. You don’t even need to go into fractals to get ascended items. After looking at all this the only reason fractals are still going is because of the skins.

Simple fix to rewards in fractals. MF buff to player based on fractal lvl:

0-9 nothing
10-19 – fractal level *1
20-29 – fractal level *2
30-39 – fractal level *3
Etc

Why magic find? Because people mobs killed is half the difficulty. Is 250% MF to much for50 when we get there? Probably, but considering the effort of getting 50 AR, it should be something significant

Chest reward randomness is another issue.

About the market issue. The market is already past saving. It is controlled by a few because of the way anet handles there game. Nothing i suggested will make it worse then it already is now.

When decreases to drop rates occur the items on the market spike. This allows for us to sell high on our items and make a profit. If they increased the drop rate of rares and allowed you to sell the exotics you find it would flood the market and we would not see a good profit. I don’t agree with those changes unless they nerf something like the COF runs and balance it out properly since Fractals are much more difficult. I just sold all my stones and cores from fractals and scored 150 gold. I think the changes are coming and I don’t want to get burned.

A month ago.. mmh it may have been forgotten about T_T

I believe they originally nerfed the crap out of drops in fotm because when it first released, everyone rushed to fotm and abandoned the other dungeons and open world activities. This was their idea of forcing people to do what they wanted by modifying the rewards. So I’m not too optimistic about anything changing there, but one can hop e >_<

I doubt Anet will change Cof path 1. People over exaggerate things about being “elite.” If running CoF p1 in 6 minutes makes them feel superior, good for them.

People need to remember it’s a game. If you don’t like “noobs,” there is a thing called a guild so you can form your own “elite” group. If your buddies aren’t online, then there are other things to do, like WvW, achievement points/ dailies, and sPvP.
