Hey everyone,

I know basically nothing about Fractals yet so bare with me…

Assuming I was to do Fractals (level 8 I believe as I have no Agony Resistance) every day, how long would it take me to get one of the 20 slot bags (150 relics). Also, is there any way to get the relics more quickly than just doing Fractals? I heard something about Maw but I wasn’t really sure.

On odd levels (Fractals lvl 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.) you have 3 “scenarios” that you go through. On even levels (Fractals lvl 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc.) you have 4 “scenarios”. That 4th one is Always the “Solid Ocean”, commonly called the Jade Maw, or Maw.

Each of the first 3 scenarios rewards you with a chest on completion. At lvl 8, you get 6 from each chest. (so 18 total there)

At level 8, the Maw provides you with 20 relics. And I believe the chest there also awards you another 20.

Importantly, you should have your Personal Reward Level up to 8 to receive these full benefits.

You can also get yourself up to lvl 10 and do 2 fractal runs a day, a lvl 8 and lvl 10. Fractal Daily chests that you receive from the Maw are done in tiers (1-9 is a tier, 10-19 is a tier, 20-29, etc.)

So at lvl 8, with a PRL (Personal Reward Level) of 8 or higher, you’ll get 58ish relics. (18 + 20 + 20)

And you really don’t need any agony resistance until you start lvl 20.

Anyway, total reward from level 8 daily rewards is 58 – 6 relics for each normal level, 20 from the jade maw and 20 from the daily. Thus 3 days doing your daily to get a bag. You could run it again for a reward of 38 (only getting the normal and jade maw rewards).

When people talk about Maw in fractals they are talking about the Jade Maw, not the open world event.

Also, you can get multiple daily chests a day. On one character you can get the 0-9 chest, 10-19 chest, 20-29 chest, etc. You can also get the two daily chests for one difficulty tier by doing it on two different characters.

I’d recommend getting up to fractal level 10 (or ideally 16 or 18 for more normal relic gain) so you’re also getting pristine relics while you’re farming your normal ones so you can gear you’re characters up.

And with an average group, how long would you say those 3 levels and maw takes to complete?

That depends on fractal level and which fractals you get

Maw is pretty fast, and people tend to skip everything until they get to the boss
Longer fractals like dredge and the statue one takes around 20 mins at level 28. The shorter ones take no more than 10 minutes

A full run at level 28 takes around 50 mins – 1 hour with an average group generally
