you can combine +1 agony infusions yourself if you have a character that has artifician.. And don’t worry about the +1 agony infusions. Just buy the +5 at the vendor for starter. You only need the +1 or more if you have infuse asc rings/backpack

What he said. You want however get there to swap standard +5 agony infusions to +7
Good luck farming Tyria exp and masteries ^^
Crafting will not bring you profit or save you money however. Just buy ++ infusions directly from trading post. If you are serious about fractals target +12 infusions. This will leave you with enough room to swap amulet for 20% magic find for example.
One +12 infusion to accommodate +5 ghostly infusion. All you need. Rest +10’s.
is ghostly a raid infusion?

Nope, in total you will need +7 versatiles, three +10 infusions and two +11 infusions to reach 150 AR
and yes substitute one +10 with a +12 if using the ghostly infusion.
You don’t need much agony resistance until you start doing Expert Tier and above (>L50). Before that, you can use:
- +5 simple infusions (available in the main lobby for 15 regular relics each).
- Apply those to ascended trinkets (rings drop or cost pristine fractal relics; accessories are available for guild commendations; amulets from laurels; backs from a variety of sources).
That takes you to AR25-30, which allows fractals up to L33 or so.
Then you’ll want to either work on ascended weapons|armor (which can slot the simple 5) and/or work on getting the ascended/pink AR that go into infused slots. Those slots are only available on rings and backpacks; the wiki describes how to infuse, but it’s basically adding mats that drop in fractals to the ring or ectomats to the backpack.
With 10 pink AR in the infused slots, you’ll have AR55, which is good through about L47.
At that point, you probably have access to the other side of the lobby and can also attune rings, allowing you to slot more +10 pinks and survive some more fractal levels.
It’s only after that you need worry about bigger infusions or start outfitting yourself in fully ascended.
tl;dr at personal L21, you don’t need to worry about all the details of AR. Just get simple/blue infusions for ascended trinkets and you’ll be in pretty good shape.
