Hi everybody,
I’m very surprised that nobody poster about this before me.
I might be mistaken, but I’m almost sure that reflect on the bombs this boss throws was nerfed. Indeed, feedback etc … still work, for sure.
However, we no longer see the damage inflicted, neither with figures, nor on the boss’ health.
Anyone has noticed too ? I’m not sure if it was introduced on the February 28th update or earlier (at first, I thought I just could not see the numbers), but after several encounters, I’m almost sure of this.
Bombs seem to no longer damage the boss.
Stealth nerf or bug introduced ?
If it’s a nerf, I really don’t see the reason … you can still reflect to be safe (especially with feedback) but all it changes is that it makes the encounter even longer than it already was, on the 2d longest fractal ever.
Why on earth making long artificially even longer ?

Yeah, i noticed it too.
I think it was introduced on 28th january, but not sure.

not only reflect was nerfed but also bombs themselves at least. (once they had a longer range, and possible were more and dealt more damage….).

That was during 28jan patch.

I agree that there wasn t any reason to nerf reflect…..once you know how to deal with it, having to repeat the same action 30 times or just 15 doesn t change much.

so you cant hurt him with his own bombs? even if it doesnt show damage, do you watch his HP bar and does it hurt him at all?

I’ve only had this boss once since the update, but something definately seemed to be nerfed. I seem to recall not being able to reflect the bombs either.

Also seem to recall the red AOE circles were a lot harder to see also (actually, I didn’t see any).

I thought the reflect was just a clever mechanic. Don’t know if this change was intentional or an introduced bug.

The red circles are definitely gone. I think they show up for a split second as he casts it but I don’t know if this is an intended mechanic based on fotm lvl or a bug or just some general change.

His bomb mechanic has changed. Instead of dropping bombs on the player directly, he now ejects bombs randomly in all directions with red circles being shown for a very small period of time to tell you to move out of the way. This probably has an affect on how effective reflect skills are.

I’ve only had the suit once or twice since the change, but from what I’ve seen, the bombs explode faster, with the last one exploding roughly a second after it lands, but they do less damage as a result. They also used to be thrown around randomly, but now, they seem to be thrown out in an X shape. Because of that, I’m not even given the chance to reflect and don’t even have to dodge or avoid them at all.

Why in the world would they buff the ice elemental so much only to turn around and nerf the dredge powersuit?

He really does seem so much easier now. The ice elemental, on the other hand, seems as hard as the powersuit used to be.

Meh they’re both pretty easy honestly. I can still feedback the bombs, but they do no damage. The circles appear but they don’t damage teammates. (As far as I could tell anyway.)

Ice elem is pretty easy too. But I killed it when it was bugged so idk. It was too hard for average pugs in it’s bugged state. I just got an awesome group one time.

I’m sad to hear this. Feedbacking the bombs was the best thing about that boss.

Theres alot of good information in this thread but each person is contributing one piece. Who can put it all together. From the damage, the pattern, the frequency, the reflectability, the circle length, etc..

Being able to reflect the bombs before made him way easier than the Ice guy. You could make him nuke himself for 100k++ which took off a decent chunk of his HP.

You can still reflect them. Just they no longer deal damage, which is very odd.
Also, yeah, seems there are less bombs, exploding faster, with red circles at the throw then disappearing.
I agree with all those changes, not sure about the damage since I evade every time.

yeah reflect is a joke on that boss now but hey so are his bombs. rather meet up with that boss than the ice one now.
