me and a group was running level 50 and we all got discussing the new fractal legendary with HoT and we came to question would we need the Prototype Fractal Capacitor (ascended) to create it or be one of the pieces to making it ?
what are your thoughts on this ?

As someone who has avoided fractals for a few years. I am now grinding them out specifically because I think you’ll need the asc back piece for the legendary one. I also want to run the new levels with all my friends!

It’s a lot of fun with friends actually, I’ve grinded 20 reward levels in less than a week now. I was avoiding fractals because random pugs can be useless but now when I got a guild group for it it has been a blast!

That is indeed the secret, loving friends who will carry you! (Although I am contributing now:P)

So I’m not the only one that feels the current fractals backpiece will br part of the legendary one haha, I wounder what else will be needed from fractals ? Any ideas or what are you peeps saving up from them haha

Fractal Friends are the best for sure. I will say on NA at least, I find 50 PUGs to be pretty decent usually as well. 40 and below you get some people who’re just along for the ride or a bit annoying but 50’s seem fine for the most part.

Put an LFG like this: [Scale xx. No Mossman Underwater.] 80% of my pugs are surprisingly decent. 20% automatically left after their first death – which is just perfect.

hmmz wait, would we need the shiny version? and would you be able to change stats of the backpiece out of combat just like weapons? I got a shiny version but wrong stats

well what makes a legendary a legendary besides the skin is the state swap, so its more likely you will be able to with the new fractal legendary.
I wounder if you can change the colour tho, there adding new fractal weapon skins (gold ones) so wondering if there will be a option to have it gold to match ?
we know that we can trade fractal skins for ones we need but does anyone know if there have o be in skin form or you can with unlocked ones ?

Together with any of the armor crafting professions (armorsmith, leatherworker, or tailor), you’ll start with a simple >>>>>>new<<<<< backpack and build it into the >>>>>new<<<<< precursor back item.

No idea how you guys thought the current backpiece is needed for the legendary while the page about the new legendary backpiece indicates NEW items and a NEW precursor to be needed.

“Together with any of the armor crafting professions (armorsmith, leatherworker, or tailor), you’ll start with a simple new backpack and build it into the new precursor back item. Just like all future precursor and legendary items, this precursor will be account bound and can’t be traded—it must be earned. A new series of achievements and collections will track your progress on your quest.”

The fact there mentioned collections indicate you need to complete them to advance in your legendary journey or in there words “quest”.
So part of those collections could easily be the current fractal back item, specially if its a fractal based/themed legendary.
Maybe even the item for completing the Fractal weapon skin collection (Which has been confirmed) could be needed to craft the legendary.

People wouldn’t need such LFG if that bug was actually fixed.
