Looks like the routine maintenance just nerfed the loot of fractals into nothingness.

Our group ran from level 4 up to level 10, each boss chest only contained 2 greens 1 blue + some silver and the boss drop chests contained only 1 max 2 yellows usually.

Loot was totally kitteny, even random loot was bad.

Yesterday everyone in my group usually had 1 yellow in a chest and 3 yellows in a boss chest. Some random yellow drops.

very depressing news if true.

I’m atm 13 and there are still a lot of rares and some exotics.

3 yellows in a boss chest is sort of a hell of a lot.

Then again, I felt pretty privileged to get a rare drop from a random mob, ‘cause chests weren’t dropping yellows for me at all, pretty much.

Mmmyeah that RNG.
Really though, you’re probably gonna wanna do more actual testing before you try and claim the RNG got broke’d again. :/

Maybe they nerfed it so people would go for higher levels?

We did another 7 levels, we had 1 yellow drop across our group from the normal chests and the usual 2 yellows on the boss chest.

OK so this is an old thread, but before this patch I was doing 4 LVL 20 daily a day and getting at least 3 rares from boss chests per run with usually more like 5-7 total. I’m talking like every day for 3 weeks doing 4 lvl 20 dailys a day. I knew RNG is RNG, but there is no way I’m that lucky and then all of a sudden it runs out after patch.

Since this patch I’ve done 5 or 6 lvl 20 dailys and have not gotten a single rare. Something must be going on. Anyone else experiencing this?

I play fractals for the fun of it. OK, seriously, I hope to get at least 2 rares a run, but I do enjoy the fractals. The gradual increase in difficulty has been interesting.

I don’t do fractals but I’ve not seen a single Rare and hardly any Masterworks since the patch in any dungeon run.

I think it is just f@#ked up RNG at work because on a level 10 run i got two exotics and two rares. I believe another person also got an exotic in that run. This was today by the way.

My friend who does 5 fractal 20’s and 3 30’s every day for the past month or so had this to say to me today.

“They have totally nerfed the fractal drop rates. Over 5 of my characters, and 8 dailies i’ve gotten 3 rares today. I used to get 2 rares a daily before the patch”

When I told him he was being unlucky he pointed out that he’s done at least 30 fractals since the patch, and not once have they given him the same level of rare drops as he got before it.

It’s not perfect evidence, but it’s certainly a disturbing pattern.

(note: discounting the end chest after maw, which basically always has rares. He was talking about drops from monsters, and the individual fractal chests)

I wholeheartedly disagree with OP. I ran a few fractals today for the first time in a while and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of lodestones, cores, rares, and exotics myself and my team got. I’ve noticed an increase in unidentified dyes as well as rare drops from regular dungeons.
