my maincharacter has a personal fractal level of 80, my twinks are all above lvl 50,
i do several fractal 48 daylies a day, where i get 1 fractal weapon out of 5 runs,
i made more than 250 pristine fractal relics in 3 months only looking for one special skin
(fractal greatsword) I now have 17 of 19 different skins and if i wouldn t salvage them all the time I would have more than 15 fractal maces or 7 1handswords in my stock, but i’m really only looking for my fractal greatsword, which should have at least a 1/19 chance to get dropped for me as it stands. I’m really looking forward to fractal tickets which can be exchanged for a weapon of my choise in november’s patch or at least a recipe to craft them from fractal drops (let it be 100pristine relics 50 shards i don t rly care)

The fractal update will mostly include changes to fractals and new fractals, devs never said anything about making a fractal ticket.

He’s not saying there will be tickets, he’s asking for this to be included in the fractal patch.

Many different posts have been made about the fractal skins, asking for a way to get the skin we want. Some people like Bart have asked for dropping a ticket to then use for the skin, some asked about a mystic forge recipe to change a fractal skin into another, …

As it is right now, you can only depend on your luck and go again and again in 48 to try and get the skin you want. And only depending on RNG is quite bad, especially with such a low drop rate…

Let’s hope when they finally give us the fractal patch we’re waiting since january, they’ll be updating the rewards (as the reward/time is right now really really bad, compared with other dungeons), as well as giving us a way to get the skins we really want, whatever that way is.

[Off topic] Btw Bart, stop taking all the sword skins in our runs, I still need some of them for my alts. If you do, i’ll let you get a greatsword instead of stocking them in my bank :p [/off topic]

It’s kind of funny how fractal weapons work, You work really hard for a weapon and get a different one that is considered BS to you, and someone else works really hard for a weapon he wants and gets the weapon you’re working really hard for but it’s just BS to him.

Hey, I agree too there should be some sort of ticket system or whatever, I really want to get fractial one handed swords for my ranger, warrior and guardian, or dual pistols for my thief ;D

a ticket system for Fractals sounds very promising and easy to implement. I got my first Dagger after 90 dailies and I don’t really have the patience to do 90 or more other dailies for the second one.

Hi all, i totally agree to this idea because i’ve also done like 250+ Daily’s in over 6 months and i still dont have the weapon i’m looking for. In addition it shouldn’t take more than 6 months to get a weapon skin, i think we all can agree to that!
The idea of introducing Fractal Weapon Tickets sounds really good to me and i hope that Arena Net will introduce them soon

what happened to the folks who think fractal tickets are bad because it ruins their “prestige”?

We still think that

IF speculators are defended like A series players….

Mistreated fractal players should have their work defended.

If:
-Fotms are the only place that forces you to grind equip.
-Fractal loot nerfed twice
-Fractal loot value inflated 3 times due to improvement in rest of the game rewards of the same type increasing supply (Rares/exotic/T6/lodestones and cores)
-Fractal drops are the worst in game due to account bound and lack of runes
-Fractal skins are the worst in game since they need a GEM SHOP item to be used.

What next? render the only reward easily accessible?

In the meantime we have lot of T7 in bank that ANET made obsolete not including them in recipes (mist essence).

Getting around RNG is fine…but do something for fractal players like the OP.

(and btw 400+ dailies =.= for the skins i wanted…..i have all skins at least now).

I think Arenanet made a huge step in the right direction with introducing the black lion tickets for the skins of the black lion company or also with the ascended weapon chests, where you can chose the weapon you want!

winning rng isn’t prestigious full stop

If fractal weapons changed colors based on the level you acquired them on, there would be a prestige element. Fotm level 80 fractal weapons would be pretty kick kitten .

A fotm skin says that “probably” a player, have played fotm 40+ regularly…..or had an abysmal luck with rng.

At fotm 48+ you get many skins thus its easier to get the one you want.

I’ve noticed this phenomenon too. Allow me to translate pug-ese.

“Lf2m FotM 48. This isn’t a progression run for me, I’ve done this millions of times and I am clearly experienced since I do this everyday, and I absolutely do not want anyone to join my group who is doing it for progression because they will suck compared to me who does it everyday.”

“Daily” is also used to make a difference between a fractal run and a single fractal since the token is “daily x character”

Since release people said “i did 160 fractals and i got only few skin…”

that means 43 attempts most of wich at low level with terrible %

On gw2lfg means usually:
I’d rather go for X8 level but if needed i could consider going anything in the same tier that can provide a chest.

Was used a lot to differentiate from people playing for progression to avid odd levels

I m doing it when daily are so bad i can t do them and since i have to farm gold to get ascended stuff to play fotm, i dont have time to play fotms -.- (insert xzibit meme)

Offtopic:
You play a 48 daily once per day with a single character.
For each stage (1X/2X/3X), there is a daily chest, which is characterbound.

Topic:
At 48 the chances are the highest to get a fractal weapon,
but even if the chances are realy high to obtain a weapon,
the chances to get the right one out of 19 different ones is pretty taff!
Also i feel like some weapons seem to drop more often for me then others,
so after 15 maces, 7 1h swords, 5 shortbows, 6 tridents it’s realy not funny anymore! :/

Obal said there used to be like 2-3 weapons per party on his 48 runs, but after the Canach living story update it dropped off significantly. Not scientifically accurate, but I trust his perception cause I don’t know any other single person who’s done as many 48 runs.

Yeah I agree. Since the Canach update it hasn’t seemed to matter one bit what level I’ve done when it comes to weapon skins.

I can just speak for personal experience over months,
if i do 5 runs at 48 a day i get 1 weapon on average,
on lower tiers like for exp 28 they seemed to drop much rarer
