Fractal / dungeon team composition

Change the guard to zerker for more dps, otherwise its good.
In dungeons… mostly 1 guard, 1 warrior, 2 eles and something else (thief, ranger, second warrior, mesmer) depending on what that person feels like running. Obviously all berserker.
In fractals we usually run 2 guardians, 1 ele, 1 warr and something else. Again all berserker, I don’t see the need for other gear tbh.
My Fractal group is generally Ele, Guard, Ranger, War, _, all zerk.
Been working in level 50 for quite some time.
It’ll all just be “all zerker”.

Players are rewarded for knowing mechanics of enemies and bringing the bare minimum to stay alive, which doesn’t include any defensive stats on gear. You should be glad the game promotes active gameplay so much, and glad it doesn’t require passive defense like Sentinel’s gear.

But I never implied that I wasn’t happy with the game or in fact ask why I should be glad. Just making an obvious statement really. Sorry if what I posted was unclear!

You’ll have to excuse me for taking the “:(” as a negative connotation.
Your choice of classes is good. You have everything covered. But yeah switch that guard to zerk. Ideal comp would be D/F ele, phalanx war, hammer guard, thief and mes.

What is the focus for on the ele though?

More blast finishers because of the focus…for might stacking I think. Although the ele and the phalanx war at the same time may be overkill for might stacking
focus isn’t much worse damage than offhand dagger and provides a lot more utility (might stacking, projectile block, self condi cleanse and invuln)
If I had to pick 1 comp for everywhere, 1 Guard, 1 Warrior, 1 Thief, 2 Ele.

I find the mesmer to be pretty useful in fractals and less so in named dungeons.
I agree with your team comp in fractals, but find that switching to Flissy’s comp will be more suitable for regular dungeons though by no means is your team comp “bad” in dungeons.
Lastly, I think your Guardian should re-evaluate his/her build. Even if you guys are all rookies and just learning the ropes, I don’t think Clerics is beneficial. Most Guardian skills that heal aren’t boosted enough by Healing Power to make them worthwhile. Nor are the healing skills themselves efficient enough on their own for the Guardian to prove worthwhile in a “healer” role. If your guardian needs tankier gear for survivability, Clerics is not the way to go about it.

The meta is changing at an alarming rate!
Fastest lvl 50 fractal I ever did was about 40 minutes with two 100% zerker warriors, two close to glass zerker guardians and one zerker staff ele.
Lvl 50 pugs are the best pugs IMO.
