Guild Wars 2

So were getting Fractals of the Mists dungeon, but they don’t really explain what “fractal” implies, and though I know what fractals are, I’m wondering if the rest of the community does know.

I’m assuming people of the age 40ish would know as there was a fractal trend in the past, but I think the majority of people playing Guild Wars 2 are college and high school student, and pretty much all my friends in college don’t know what a fractal is.

Seems like the aspect of fractals for GW2 is the recursive nature of them.
Who knows, maybe there’ll be a Mandelbrot armor set.

Brand new player and absolutely ignorant: What does the word “fractals” refer to in GW2? I’m guessing it’s similar to “instances” in other games.
