Hey everyone;

As a fractals addicted, i liked the changes made in the last patch (seems easier but the new mechanics are better), but would be a good idea to make something about Molten Furnace fractal. Man, it´s so boring!

- Not challenging
- Slow to progress (why those “water walls”? or even those falling rocks at the tunnel? besides been annoying?)

Anyway, its just my opinion.

I know that i should be poiting some improvements to it, not just complaining, thats what this post is for, maybe some discussions can lead us to better changes.

I don’t have any issue with the rocks in the tunnel, since they present an obstacle. The water walls, on the other hand, seem to serve only to delay the players. Since there are no enemies to fight there, they seem useless.

I would not agree that the fractal as a whole is not challenging, though, especially if you try and avoid all the machine’s attacks.

This fractal is the ultimate snoozefest. I basically AFK at the boss and periodically use a heal skill or chicken peck my dodge key, then blow up stuff whenever I finally get something to do.

They could make this much more interesting if you had to fight an elite mob while the weapons tests were going on, and then that particular weapon test ended when the champion died. Doing it this way allows extremely competent groups to speed through it by burning down the elite mob quickly (please don’t make this thing an HP sponge if you go this route). This would be very similar to how the elite Icebrood Goliath works during Snowblind’s boss icicle drop phases.

I also agree that the waterfalls stage is an unnecessary waste of time. Let’s go one further and skip the whole drill thing entirely. Still make people clear the side rooms and use the boulders, but just let them run at their own pace instead of sitting and waiting for the drill to move.

That would be nice, can even put some harder mobs. I can´t agree more that the driller cart makes nosense, unless maybe if u need to protect it, could work too, but cant block the way around.

I believe it would hurt to take away entire segments like the vapor wall parts: in essence they are the little tidbits that make Fractals stand out from Raids and not so linear as to have every single fractal be a boss fractal.

What does work though is changing the segments so that they make more sense: like mentioned above, we should either be made to actually protect the drill (it might overheat everytime a mob hits it and we have to keep it from being hit so it moves faster, and mobs keep spawning inside the tunnel behind us, in addition to the ones during every boulder part), or have no drill at all but a more engaging kind of obstacle such as enemies/stuff we have to dodge. The vapor wall can stay there for the delay it gives: it is already a very small delay and would take some work to change the map layout. That or have it be an obstacle we have to destroy before it drags us in or something.

The boss on the other hand is definitely a snoozefest. It should either be made an actual combat where the Core has much more health but stays available to hit all the time throwing mechanics at us (along with more mobs spawning at all times, maybe they are also resistant to direct damage and we have to CC them into the Core mechanics), or simply a hilarious situation where the Core insta-fails and the Boss comes at us himself with much more elaborate mechanics and a higher health, aka Bloomhunger the Legendary Dredge.
