So what I’ve gathered over the weekend in LA and here on the dungeon forums is that the other dungeons are dead?

Everyone seems very happy and interested in the new fractals which is good for them and ANET. But what about the other dungeons?

I tried LFG COF story mode over the weekend and got absolutely no response. And this was during peak-times on my server, in LA.

This so reminds me of my days in WoW as the game matured from launch when new raid dungeons come out and everyone would just rush for those for the loot, and you can never seem to find anyone to do lower level stuff with you.

Oh well.

But they need to introduce Fractal rewards in other dungeons.

Same thing for me too. But I was looking for explorable so it is a problem no matter what type. I do agree that they need to update the drops though. I’m on Tarnished Coast so it’s not a population problem it a FotM problem.

And it’s hard to get a fractal group because one guy’s LFG lvl 3, the other 5, and another 8…

You can expect a redesign of the “old” dungeons in a future patch.

I think that other dungeons should drop equal items life fractal.

I think its perfectly normal for a new dungeon to take up all dungeon players, it is new and unknown, same as the loot. Also as far as I have seen at lest ac and arah got plenty of players doing them still. If you kill all bosses in AC and do all paths now you get up to 3 gold from boss drops alone, a great improvement, I have also myself got both exotic and gold drops from the boss chests since the update.

I don’t think that everybody is happy with FotM, the do it cause they know they have to:
The other dungeons are pretty much obsolete since you can’t get ascended items from them and you also don’t get ascended gear in FotM if you are below scale 10 therefore everything below scale 10 is a waste of time. Some of the mechanics in FotM are pretty nice but the dungeon is still rather easy which allows you to do the first scales very fast you hit the gear check called Agony. Therefore, once you missed the first wave it will get harder and harder to find groups for the lower scales which could deny you the dungeon at all.
So, if your playtime is limited and you don’t want to get screwed by players with better gear in WvW you have to do FotM, you can’t afford to waste your time on any other dungeon unless you are at scale 10+.
