Got kicked for the 12+ time today on fractals dungeon (lvl 26 (was kicked 6 times b4 lvl 3)), not from being kicked by players, but kicked by the dungeon. First, one guy got kicked just as we were starting the dredge frak. He’s obv unhappy so he decides to leave the party in an effort to not accidentally kick us all. Everything else is going smooth after that. Get all door open, clear the mobs, get the door open, clear the mobs and kill the boss, get the door open, clear the mobs, get boss to 50% hp then everybody gets kicked.

Why is this still a problem 3 months after release of the dungeon. If you want to do a quick band-aid over this problem, make it so after every time a player gets dced by the frak, they gain a token (different from the one exchanged for rings) that can be used to exchange for a fractal weapon skin. I’d be happy with that even though I’m still losing out on the maw mobs and that chest/daily. Whole reason I was redoing 26 was for a chance at a skin so make that an option and I won’t get so kitten when that happens.

lol. i see your frustration, iv had this several times my self, but getting a reward for dc’ing is never going to happen, if it did everyone in the world would suddenly be getting mass internet problems :P

Dc’ing in most (but not all) cases is becuase the person has a crap internet connection, as in WOW you get punished for such thing, not rewarded.

“everybody gets kicked” – sound more like instance host disconnected and hence instance destroyed causing everyone to be moved out. so how is that “kicked by the dungeon”?

with current gw2 instance system, doesn’t matter if you in fractals or dungeon, if instance hosts disconnects its ‘game over’ for that instance.

I was instance host AND party leader. Nobody got dced except for the first guy. I’ve had this happen to me MULTIPLE times without anybody dcing or leaving and everybody in the team gets randomly kicked. This is especially obvious when all 4 other members of the team start saying the wtf comments in chat when all of us magically appear in LA instead of staying in the frak. THIS ISN’T DUE TO INTERNET CONNECTIONS. This is a known bug, that for some reason, has been affecting me quite harshly.

Also, by the token reward thing, I didn’t mean that everyone who dc’s to internet connection would get a reward, just the members of a team who would get kicked to LA inexplicably and immediately have control over their character the moment they spawn in LA.

If someone disconnects inside fractals they will still be in the party, but outside in lions arch.

if they then start a new instance of fractals (walk up to the portal and enter) it will kick everyone to lions arch.

i’ve also heard that this can happen when they change maps while still in the party, but ive never confirmed it.

Also the disconnections in fractals are bullkitten. And the fact that Anet has consistently dropped the ball regarding fixing them, or allowing us back in is bullkitten. That is all.

know all this already, also know that if a player outside the instance swaps characters that can also kick the team. Thing is, the player who initially got dced chose to leave the pt altogether, and since the group maintained function 100% for about 20 mins, his leaving did nothing to affect the group.

Also I’ve had it where the entire team gets kicked without anybody getting kicked b4 hand or someone who wasn’t pt leader OR instance holder leaves, entire team gets booted. There’s a LOT wrong with frak atm and all the issues should be fixed.
