Fractals in HoT clarification
We will get a specific fractal for a certain level as you’ve stated, I’m pretty sure boss frac’s will be like any other fractal once its implemented. However we will need to wait until they release the new fractal schedule.
Regarding porting to the observatory, we can only presume its like it is now. Once we completed a set of fractals we get transported back, as the new frac’s are on one island per scale then it only makes sense for it to still operate like this.
Hypothetically, Swamp is Fractal 96. Wont people just run this over and over again rather than Cliffside at 100? The way i see it is people are going to burst through this scaling system quickly (even though it scales to 100) because its technically less instances to 100 than it was doing three (or four) to 50… I’m only at scale 30 something currently and pretty much enjoying it the way it is.
Although swamp is going to be quicker than cliffside they have stated that the longer the frac the more rewarding it will be. Whatever these rewards are, they have yet to be announced.

Yeah, when they announce those rewards we’ll each individually decide whether or not those rewards are worth the additional time investment. Honestly, I’m betting they won’t be worth it. I think it’ll be the difference between COF P1 and ARAH P4… Which ain’t much considering the time investment requirement difference.

Agreed the way anet rewards their hard core contents is laughable. I wont hold my breath for these changes due to their track record in the past. I’m just gonna buy my last fractal skin/harpoon gun and collect these new rewards. After that I’ll never step into this stale content. Also COD gold skins wooo (Sarcasm)
Aye, their track record on scaling rewards is pretty shaky. That said, there will be extra dailies for different fractals. So you may hit whatever is easiest and grab your “do 3 fractals” daily reward, but then there will be a “do a level 78” daily which will force you to mix it up or leave rewards on the table which as I understand it will be where the new weapons come from.
If the rewards are you motivation you’re better off running your specific ones first then if you still need another one or two fill in with whatever is easiest to claim all the daily rewards.
At least that’s how I understand it.
I’m interested to see more details, which fractals are what levels and what their instabilities are, or at least a few examples of devs favorite combinations. No reflect Grawl Shaman would certainly be interesting.

I was thinking similar things, I wonder if projectile destruction will still work, and how they will do it mechanically (just make all projectiles unblockable?). So many possibilities.

He bugs out if you do enough damage. After the 75% shield you can cc and burst him until he bugs and does nothing.

People will farm one single most efficient fractal over and over and it will get difficult to find (guild-)members for any other.
I would rather have them keep some randomization (i.e. if you play on level 85 you get one of the islands between 80 and 90).

it was already explained the daily at-minimap chests will be moved to fractal dailies category and it will be mixed with various objectives + the mastery will unlock other achievs
