Agreed and people been asking this since last patch and got no answer.
Fact: every Thief tells you to “l2p” when the subject is to nerf stealth.
Earrings are only for guild zerglets. It makes no sense to put ascended gear somewhere that actually uses it’s specially designed slots.

true but you can’t go any further in fractals without infusion slotted gear; yet you can do everything else without infusion slotted gear.
Yet they are meant, in the first place, for agony resistance. A condition exclusive to fractals. Durr.

When they announced ascended gear they said were going to spread out the ways of getting pieces of it apart from just doing Fractals of the Mist. I see nothing wrong. Also remember this is only part 2 of a 3 or 4 part series of updates.

It’s completely appropriate that ascended should be available outside of fractals. Laurels, guild missions, all that is fine.
But it seems to me like every piece of it should be obtainable through a fractal method first and foremost as well. Just due to the nature of agony resist and the (infused) status.
Besides, we don’t need to have a new currency every single time ascended comes out in another slot. Now we’ve got guild commendations. Then ascended helmets will require Tyrian toilet paper or something.
Why? It’s simple. They want you to play(grind) their content. Sure they COULD put in amulets for 20 relics and earrings for 15 but than people would just spend all their stored up pristines and get what they want right away and that would be the end of the content for them.
This way they get a nice fat boost to their concurrent user count. More people logging in to do dailies for currency #878465 and grinding or gold sinking influence to grind time gated weekly missions for currency #987867
You have gotten what you paid for, all that remains is biweekly gemshop pushing.

This daily grind make me not loging in more, I have like 80 pristine fractal relic, Im at lvl 40(don’t want to go up, too much time for no redward)
This is a really good point, could we have a developer response please.
i have so many pristine relics and fractal parts that i think they are just taking up space.
say hello to 1 month grind for 1 earring by NOT doing fractals….
