Thank you for the changes that are coming with HoT!

I just read the blog post detailing all these upcoming features, and I’m honestly excited. That’s pretty huge considering that I’ve done exactly one fractal and never wanted anything to do with it again. The upcoming reworks to the overall system and rewards give me hope that it would actually be something fun for me to do.

Also, I have no investment in it whatsoever, but thank you for raising the cap from 50 to 100. I was here for the whole kerfluffle involving the change that bluntly lowered the cap from 80 without compensating those brave souls who got that far. I’m sure it could also be seen as “they’re giving us back something they took away and calling it content”, but the new cap is actually higher than the original one as well as including all the new rewards. I’m looking forward to this!

Same here. I have never even attempted fractals because of the time it takes, and from bad experiences of long Lotro raids that took ages and often ended in failure. Also just like Lotro raids people only want experienced people with them which means if you were late to the game their were few chances of learning how to do them properly. If these changes truly make fractals more accessible and less time restrictive, then I’ll give them a go. I’m guessing the fractal population is relatively low and Anet are trying to open this game mode to other people.

It’s true that low level fractals are “hard”. Cause only unexperienced player want to do them, and since fractals is about knowing the mecanics of each one of them it’s hard to chain 4 differents one with any group.
With this change you’ll be able to learn each fractal independently, play the one you prefer and leave the other. And still be able to have good time whatever is your level.
