That can be summed up in only one picture. How in the name of god that happened I have no idea. All I know is that it was a terrifying experience and Lupi is mad as hell.

The update that had the stealth changes started making him do that. He will follow you out to the room if you run out. You can reset him if he does that if you go to where you first dropped down on the left in the corner which is behind you.

Holy cow. What’s his aggro range now then? Can you still slip into the room and get ready?

He won’t aggro until you get pretty close (<600 range, not sure exactly because by the time we’re that close someone’s thrown an axe or GS at him) or until you start shooting him. So on your initial encounter or after he resets, you can still get ready in the room – or if you have dead teammates that don’t want to run, you can rez them as long as they’re away from Lupi. His leash range is the only thing that’s a little ridiculous, and his Locusts Swarms are even worse and will follow you around the pillar.

No, if he resets his buff is removed as well.

Correct, you need a double reset at that point.

Source: many failed attempts soloing, lots of resetting.

what you need is more guardians.
