Future dungeons and it's fate
They left dungeons for fractals as their 5-man content, thats why they nerfed the reward.
ANet has said many times that their development style is to look to do innovative things. Sometimes this works out, sometimes it doesn’t. In the case of dungeons, it did not work out.
Explorable dungeons were intended to be really hard content. They were supposed to challenge coordinated groups of skilled players. However, few paths really required that level of skill and coordination. The best guess as to why ANet has largely abandoned dungeons is that it would require too much development time to fix them to meet their intent to offer challenging group content.
As with all MMO’s, ANet needs to keep the attention of several types of players, all of whom have different wants. All MMO’s struggle to keep the attention of the MMO player-base, which is very demanding. Also, there is a lot of competition for market share. It’s likely that ANet is unable to split their development resources to support three types of harder, instanced group content while also working on open world, living story, PvP and WvW.
Will we ever getting future dungeons or has ANet decided to stop creating this, as we have Fractal and Raids?
No, they’ve said that they aren’t developing dungeons any longer. The way they were designed made them hard to update (whether to fix bugs or to do a makeover), so they dropped plans for new dungeons.
Is dungeons truly dead?
Dungeons aren’t dead. There’s just so much to this game and so many veterans have burnt out on dungeons that the participation levels are different now. Despite that, it’s still not hard to get +4 for an LFG (plus, with current meta builds, many players can manage dungeons with less than five people).

The rewards are substantive, but they remain less than they were at peak. That’s a nerf (and one that some folks will never forgive, even though that wasn’t the main reason people are less enthusiastic about dungeons. It’s just the one that gets the most attention because it’s so simple to describe.)

With more tokens each path and gold compareable bettwen full run before and now how is it i nerf? (someone pointed it out in another dungeon thread that the net gold from all paths was 1 gold less then before nerf. and thats not counting the bonus 40 tokens each path and +150 random tokens ever 8 paths that you do 5 times and can turn into gold)
