Gamebreaking bug: please listen!
If you’re stuck in combat while defeated, and you’re sure it’s you and not anyone else, then that’s definitely a bug to report.
Similarly, Swirling Winds should definitely destroy projectiles. If you notice it consistently not destroying them, I’d say report that bug too.
As far as the harpies going invulnerable, I always reiterate, work on keeping your entire group in melee range, chain up projectile defenses. You will very rarely see an invulnerability if you do this.

That’s true and it’s good advice, but it shouldn’t happen regardless. Stacking up where the harpies can wipe your entire team with a single blowout isn’t a very sound tactic if things were working properly. Also, they have the ranged attacks needed to not get invulnerable. And finally, they sometimes do that while I jump on the platform they’re standing on. So even when I do get into melee, they still go invulnerable (and of course, their attacks don’t stop).

They dont use blowout if you are in melee. The projectile defense prevents the ones you arent attacking from hitting you with blowout and crippling arrows. There is no excuse not to stack melee. Even if you all get knocked off its better to be grouped and prevent them going invuln than taking 20mins longer because you cant kill them.
Just don’t use staff

You already made this thread a couple of weeks ago. You got perfectly reasonable responses from it as well. They are not bugged, stack in melee and use reflects, stability if necessary. You won’t get wiped if your group does those things.

First of all, this is far from “game-breaking” or “progress blocking”. It is annoying at best and may cause you to have to take a few extra minutes. Also if you want anet to respond, stop posting in the dungeon forums. Horribly counter-productive.
I will say this it’s very annoying, if they really are going to do something with fractals in 2 weeks I’ll keep my fingers crossed that this got looked at
Mobs going invuln when people try to range should be a feature added to 90% of the game.

I kinda like the always in combat bug, it makes it kinda interesting and harder. De invul bug doesn’t really matter, you can easily kill them when you go all together and spam stability/reflection, just get your skills up and stop complaining

Funny. I guess I’m imagining that an entire party gets defeated by a single blowout and no resurrect at checkpoint screen comes up.
The harpy invulnerability needs to be fixed, takes a fractal that could be enjoyable and unique ( I enjoy the jumping puzzles and encounters), and makes it annoying and stressful, trying to kill mobs or otherwise sneak pass them. Unless that’s is what Anet wanted us to do? I doubt it. Has this been looked at or does the community who run fractals just have to deal with it
Edit: After running it today, I noticed the 2nd puzzle of harpies isn’t as bad as the first part in terms of invulnerability, granted we had 2 guardians and a warrior

If that happens at all, it’s highly infrequent since I’ve never heard of that issue before. Also you could just character select and I’m sure it would fix it. Sometimes dungeons just bug, it’s not just harpy. I agree that it needs to be fixed but don’t act like it’s stopping you from playing the game because of how awful it is.
