Do people just not like making LFGs? If I look on the LFG there is often no one for many of the paths. If I add an LFG I can usually get a group fairly shortly. :/

There are 2 reasons you don’t see that many lfg for certain paths.

1) Some paths are extremely unpopular because they are annoying/long/not worth the effort/pick your poison.

2) A lot of the lfg entries fill up almost instantaneously. Thats why you won’t see them at all unless you spam the refresh button.

In short, during an argument in CM, the guy said “Listen to me, I’m a dungeon master B*tch” as that was the final say.

Shortly after I just said the argument was a misunderstanding, as we were both pretty much arguing the same thing. However I couldn’t stop calling him dungeon master throughout =)

Oooh, yes, I’m a Dungeon Master! Y’all have to listen to me even though it’s obvious I’m an annoying git who insults others who question my unrivaled knowledge of all dungeon paths!

Holy god, I keep disconnecting every minute – since the afternoon – and I have no idea what the hell is going on. Connected but not connected? and disconnecting/resetting seems the only way to have a few secs of internet, just enough to load a page. What the hell?
Wait for it, this might be my occasion for murdering someone or not being able to log back in whether I want it or not.
E (8hrs later…): got a temporary workaround maybe? It’s working even if it says I’m not connected… If it happens again tomorrow I swear I’ll kill a casual every hour I spend with no internetz.

well i had some fun in an AC pug just now, and here are the results. a lot of swearing so i tried to censor it being the lawful user that i am :-)

in case some of the print is too small to read: I joined an AC pug that was already halfway through. guardian was running momentum and telling us to stick together (he would kite) for the hodgins room. he also gave a newbie engie (700ap, didn’t know where to go etc.) a lot of flak etc.

now I don’t really give a kitten about crappy pug guardians since they’re everywhere, but this guy made himself outstanding through his sheer obnoxious behaviour and (as it turns out) uniquely horrible build. so I decided to have some fun with him after the run ended!

also while I was busy screwing around in paint I decided to compile some of the crazy stuff I’ve seen on the LFG tool.

Sweet, now I know that guardian’s name, I can avoid him like the plague.

man that guy is kittening kittened, he made some stupidly long evaluation (all with wrong assumptions) about how 30/10 warrior (axe/axe and with some defensive utils lel) was better than 30/25 a while back.

sigh Why can’t people communicate or at least read?

I had someone obviously new to CoF p1 in my pug. I don’t have a problem with that since the lfg wasn’t tagged as anything other than “p1”.
What I do have a problem with is him not reading the chat after it became obvious he had no idea that you have to place a single character at each of the braziers at the gate controller. He kept following one of the other players so that there were always 2 characters in the same place.
I don’t know if he didn’t understand english (he was from a french server) or didn’t look at the chat at all. Either way after a few minutes of him blocking us from going further he just went offline. We waited for a few minutes more but he didn’t show up again so we went and got a replacement.
I like to think we were reasonable enough in our approach, though I have to admit one of the other players was rather impolite with his choice of words. Not outright rude or abusive, but clearly more impatient than the rest of us.

I know this isn’t a singular experience and most of us have seen this more than once, but this is one of the things that still get to me.
If I’m new to something, why would I ignore the chat? Hell, I usually warn people if I don’t have experience with the path/event/whatever but that’s just my personal choice.
And if I don’t understand the language I at least try to tell them, that I don’t understand them. I don’t speak french but I know enough about the language to understand if someone tries to tell me they don’t speak english.

Of course there is the possibility he was just trying to grief/annoy us. You never know with some people what tickles their fancy.
I need a drink.

I’m extremely impolite to people who are not willing to spend thought on things. And people who are not reading the chat at all should just be kicked.

Save 3 silver 27 copper on waypoints, spend 15-40 seconds on an additional load screen, then drop a couple extra minutes here and there because LA’s layout is less optimal…

If it takes you 15 minutes to do CoFp1, then the minimum 4 silver in foregone gains from a 30 second loss of efficiency already costs more than the waypoint fees. It’s actually more when you throw in the random drops on the way and ecto you can get from the dungeon tokens.

But most people don’t calculate time-costs. Unless, of course, they’re using it to bully some random dude in Soldier gear for an elitist-populated dungeon, then suddenly they seem to do it a lot.

Yesterday I had an ele say that the class has no blast finishers.

Is there any weapon combination for an ele that doesn’t have at least one blast finisher? No matter what I try, there’s at least one in there.

You can try dagger only, since main hand dagger on it’s own has no blast finisher… pre patch.

Um ok, I don’t actually count equipping only half a weapon set for 3 instead of 5 skills. Unless you are something like level 3 and work with what you find.

@ deSade: I don’t have enough experience with that [Arah p2, abomination] fight to comment on it specifically (by that I mean that I’ve only done it a few times and only without stacking etc), but I’m guessing the same things apply.
