Well yesterday was my lucky day, got The Hunter out of 4 rare riffles without even trying. Guess I can start making Bifrost now.

I feel the same way, can’t say I’ve figured it out yet. I kinda got the rotation down, but doing the rotation and avoiding damage, just haven’t put it together yet. There’s no “get out of jail free” card like I had with Obsidian Flesh when I was working on my Ele. I was thinking about trying that one heal that gives a huge heal if you take lethal damage and seeing how that went but I haven’t had a chance yet.

And AED is so terribly situational I don’t even know.
You can use it for the orbs running in arah if that makes you feel better.

I think I’ve started a fashion trend… I got the new ponytail hairstyle for my thief and 2 of my teammates are like “Oh, it looks good, I want that too!”.
Now everyone has it, lol.
Should I or should I not make a second guardian for fashion purposes only? Decisions, decisions… Just to look pretty while standing in LA.

So far I’ve found 3 uses for AED. Arah orb run, Thaumanova fractal heat room and Harpy fractal end boss so i can safely drop my supply crate and DPS when all 4 golems activate (and 1 second stun on F1 skill).

But everything else it’s healing turret all the way. Probably the best healing skill in-game.

When you use it, immediately hit your heal button again to overcharge. If you don’t hit it twice quickly, it will wait another ~2-3 seconds to do the overcharge heal (the one that removes condis and heals allies, and makes the water field). After that, if others near you are low on health, detonate it with f1 within half a second or so. If you’re trying to solo or no one else needs a heal and there are no fire fields down from earlier, pick it up with interact to reduce the cooldown to 15s so you can use it sooner next time.

CoE p1, consoles. Nobody in a party was zerk enough to defend the 1/4 so I had to step up. As a mesmer, all green armor, green runes/sigils, half the traits/utilities missing. Defended it like a champ right up until… one pug decides to stop channeling at 99% because he thought voiceover meant his channel was done. I think this was the only time I actually ragequit in coe. Where did I hear stories that EU pugs were better ;_;

EU pugs are definitely worse in my experience on each side of the pond

the last few times I played in gw2 my pugs on NA were good, annoyingly enough

I am the amicable Pug,

I just finished leveling and gearing my 13th character…

Somethings i have learned about The game and me along the way.

People who complain about " lack of Build variety" are far to narrow minded.

I created so many People to satisfy the need of whatever group I could come across. For at least myself when I ask you what you need me to bring, And you say “whatever” I will be looking at the rest of the party and trying to figure out what will benefit the group the most. If you give me something specific. I will have it. I may not be the best Dagger/ Focus Ele or what have you, but if thats what you need, I have it.

Although I could certainly gear and level a “solo” character, I have no real desire to. I truly Enjoy the Team Aspect that this Game provides. Having gotten some chances to have been picked up By Death N Taxes for some casual tours I have been privileged enough to run with some of the games best players. Something that makes them stand above and beyond so many others is the sense of “team” that they hold. Much like a Kitchen Brigade, They are a band of Pirates that are capable of amazing things. (( and some day i hope to be good enough to be counted among them.))

Black Gate Is number one in WvW not because of numbers or coverage. But because they are a server of teams. They function together and work together. and they Win together.

After one year and a half of nothingess, tuesday got me fractal torch and wednesday longbow fractal skin. Both at lvl 29. wtf?

grats on the 2 skins.. You deserved it after that long with nothingness.

And currently saving up for the fused longbow for my ranger when i get it to max level. All the recent ranger hype has made me feel like leveling one. I am really shocked to see myself as one of the very few leveling rangers not using a bear in PVE content :/

I am leveling one too (gonna be my 8th toon/profession). But the new trait unlocking systems sucks so hard… that it is almost a self imposed obligation at this moment.

actually had a couple of those. was frustrating to say the least.

Sometimes I lay down fgs just for the sake of it… it’s boring to play without an élite.
Scratch that, it’s boring to play ele, with or without -ite.
Other classes are much funnier.

You know? Talking about build variety… I was contemplating the stupidity of people. They come here and whine because the “speedrunning” [meh] builds have no variability compared to their awesome “creative” builds…. and they don’t even know that, for one, you can basically play every weapon on guardian in a variety of situations…. the least playable and more “niche” being staff and shield.
Dumbsters.

What are you talking about deSade? My creative build where I camp staff and have scepter/torch on swap, always using the same 3 utilities is far more diverse and varied than your build that you constantly swap weapons and utilities to fit the situation, you’re just cookie cutter!

So I’m sitting here reading your random thought.

These days I’m too elitist to not be annoyed by some random pugs oblivious by being carried and too obstinate to take an advice. My enjoyment just drifts off.

Hmm… I’m thinking of making my 13th character slot for key farming. You know, Wooden Potato’s way. But I don’t want to dedicate on this. I’m way too involved in this game.

People who complain about ‘lack of build variety’ don’t even know how to play their ‘build’ properly. They just smash the buttons and call it uninteresting. Bleh.

Or some one would enter the dungeon and immediately designates me a role, a build, and asks me to stick with it. Meta is It, I got It. But that’s not how I enjoy playing. Like,

Lua’s team is great. Atoi is awesome. They don’t stick with a perfect rotation. Yet, somehow they pull off everything effortlessly and smoothly. Hmm, like swapping to multiple weapons and change to different trait set during a run. Like noticing the lack of swiftness and calmly, quietly provide it. Which reminds me… like Sandy, or Marc, or Abe. I just appreciate their warm concern. Team fight spirit. Team fight. World v World.

Black Gate is great place to look for a big team fight. I like tagging all the guild raids. They did not ostracize me and I’m happy to offer my best.

The season was fun. Glad it ends in time.

Now, what should I try next…

I just got kicked from an arah p2 that i was selling. felt really bummed out about it, and was watching the lfg system to see if they would sell it when they stole my instance. Got a friend, we got in and kicked them and got our instance back. I am using a proxy from now on.

Cough cough watch out for Fructosetarian.8425 and LegosasXI.2094 Cough Cough.

Ugh.. I always get annoyed at PUGs who try res while having agro and even ranges who have a pet that has agro and is on top of or near a downed player. Makes it imposable to help res..

It’s fun if you, after a lot of organised or semi organised instance runs (semi because half pugs / half friendslist) you get a call from a friend to go Arah p4 for her dm title and get a group as “un-meta-ish” as it can probably get.
A defensve built wvw elementalist, a wvw warrior, a semi offensively built ranger with an odd choice of weapons (slayer achievements in progess as I learned later), a mesmer with a TRULY odd choice of weapons for her build and the stats she used and my little guardian.

Sidenote: This is not a complaint, just a random tale about what I did a few days ago.

Was funny as hell because the people were all drawn from her friendslist and everyone was really nice on TS and that – to me at least – usually is more than half the job done. Albeit the entire thing took quite some time.
I’m not really familiar with a lot of Arah especially p4 myself. (Although there are a few people who try their very best to teach me glances sideways at deSade). I’ve done p4 I think about half a dozen times in total, whenever someone asked for help to complete a dm title. So next to no skipping or might stacking or anything like that.

The only time when I thought about banging my head against a wall was when our elementalist told me he had no place onhis utility bar o a glyph of stoms (for the sandstorm blind against trash) because he needed all his slots for things to help him survive better. Apparently blinds don’t help with that.

And it seemed that some of them found it odd that I adjusted my utilities so often or even more so adapted my traits to the various encounters (at least to the best of my limited knowledge about the fights).

On the plus side they had no problem with me pushing lupi into the wall and nuking him to kingdom come with WoR after our first wipe. And the mesmer was really cute asking twice if it truly was dead already.

I had my doubts about how Simin might go, but at least here the elementalist went full berserker (he carried the equipment with him apparently). I don’t know about the rest of the party, and it took a while, but she eventually went down, so problem solved.

All in all, as I said, it was fun, an interesting change of pace. But if it hadn’t been for a friend I don’t think I would have wanted to spend that amount of time in there.

I once tried doing that thing on my guardian. Got absent minded, panicked during the transition, missed the wall and died.
