Guild Wars 2

I really like how they try to force range on us, I don’t mind mechanic that makes it harder to melee, but don’t make me have to wait outside of a AoE, kitten, they are putting time gate on melee’ing.

I thought it was a nice break from the usual fights, and there was plenty of uninterrupted melee at the second boss He really needs a bump up in difficulty.

But for the first one, I probably enjoyed it more because I was on my thief, and shortbow thief is pretty fun. If I’d been on my warrior or something I’d probably have liked it less.

It was really frustrating on my necro. I didnt have the mobility or the sustain to get close to him each time he leaped. And i couldnt use life blast because its slow and it always bugged and vanished. I guess it was something to do with the bosses hitbox while it was moving.

Ugh, necro would be a pain there. I ended up blasting poison and cluster bombs on her most of the time, then 2 pistol whips to clear a tendril when they popped. It seemed like once a tendril is killed she’d move into the next phase, but it may have just been lucky timing.

I used to argue with this guy on a daily basis, he is literally the person I despise the most on the internet. One day, I gave up and never went back to the “general sub forum”

We’re talking about a Die Hard ANet brown-noser here, all he does is try to poke holes in any complaints anyone ever has about what they are doing, he gets some sick satisfaction in it. That’s why I couldn’t help but point out his use of “everybody” after he pulled the semantics card earlier in the thread, sorry for that but I really couldn’t help but point it out. The guy is full of himself.

ANet knows what we’re asking. I take the silence to mean that they have no good answer for us. Lets be honest, we all know that to be true at this point. That thread was more or less a last chance to talk and say we’re wrong. It’s on them, do they take this opportunity or do they confirm our beliefs?

It’s actually a bug with listing items. Afaik if you try to list something at the lowest sell offer and it gets sold during that time it will be posted as a buy offer at that same price.

Where did you get that from? Sounds like somebody really didn’t understand what you were talking about.

That said, I actually asked a friend to go with me through Hidden Arcana last night, because mesmer was my 6th character through (3 per account, ele&war solo, ranger/guardian/thief escorting friends) and I was looking for someone to carry me through the facet of light. In the end, it turned into the 6th (and 7th, because my friend disconnected on the final fight and I was kicked because he had started the instance) time I mostly soloed the facet of light because the person I was in party with managed to die in the field early into the fight sigh.

Actually, it wasn’t even as bad as I had anticipated … guardian in full soldier’s with wvw-wannabe-tank-traits was definitely worse damage-wise (totally missed changing builds before that fight and since you can’t change equipment due to Area-DoT I had to go through with it).

Yep. And we’ve gotten what does appear to be a few attempts at misdirecting the thread from Gaile, and when we stuck to the issue, the red posts stopped. It’s like we “toxic” folks care more about the health of the game than they do :-/

That’s a different issue altogether. You used to be able to ignore the listing fees by listing your item as low as possible and it would sell to the highest buy order and ignore listing fees completely. But here some poor person probably tried to list his items and ended up posting a massive buy order by accident.

Am I the only one enjoying the latest LS fights?

Why would we want to speedkill a boss we have to range half the time?

Its only challenging when you try it on necro without a dagger. So you have no way to cleave the mini teras.

What is the problem in that? If everyone has to do it then everyone is on equal level no?

Its not fun and its easy to range. :P

Anyway i had a weird bug on it the other day. I was trying to do all 3 achieves in 1 go. But i wiped because i didnt take enough aoe for the mini teras. After that it had infinitely spawning mini teras for the whole fight (the wave before you start didnt despawn and they kept respawning when killed). Which made it impossible. Had to restart the instance.

Yeh, happend to me too quiet a few times.

I enjoyed Glint’s lair, not so much these last couple bosses.

Terragriff was pretty fun IMO. It was a nice change from the tank’n’spank bosses we’re used to, and it posed a nice challenge. But, not worth redoing all of the map hopping/story clicking just to fight it again.

The last boss, on the other hand, was a complete joke. Aside from the marked ground spikes (which were trivial to avoid), it was like getting slapped with a wet noodle.

is it just me or has the performance of the game drastically dropped in recent LS areas? my com is terrible, but it used to be able to run arah etc (haven’t done it for a while) at playable FPS, whereas glint’s lair and the labyrinth were kitten near unplayable even on best performance.

I think the strategy is sound but I could have swapped to air a lot later and saved some time. Maybe swap blasting staff for stone splinters.

When he was leaping it was missing aswell. That was with no rush trail or anything. He moves too fast for lifeblast sometimes.
