Can Anet finally make it so it takes 3 votes to kick someone or something so if your at the last boss of something like fractals you can’t be kicked. I just wasted nearly 2 hours with a group doing fractals and I yelled at two guys in our group who were in the same guild because they were messing up the boss of dredge. After yelling at them to stop messing around and stay with our guardian we finally beat the boss and proceeded to do jade. The whole jade fight the both of them were trying to grab crystals before me when I would get targetted by jade (both of them ended up killing themselves during the fight fully and I had to rez them both). Right before jade died I was kicked by them, I had been expecting this and asked the other two players in the group to reinvite me back if I got kicked, but no matter how fast they kept letting me back in I would get kicked. I reported the two for scamming, but honestly I know Anet won’t do anything about it and I wasted alot of time.

Anyone else have kitten like this happen to you? Or think it should take 3 people to kick someone?

The problem is that with PuGging, if you yell at someone, you give them justification to boot you.

If they were messing up that badly, I think there are two good options, possibly 3 good options.

1. Be polite. I know, I know. People are faceless on the Internet. It’s so easy to just yell at a person you’re never gonna see again. Be the better person. Make suggestions in a positive way that encourages people to see the value in you and what you’re saying. They are also more likely to actually take your advice instead of resenting you and subsequently grieving and booting you.

2. If you feel like they are being a detriment to the run, kick/boot them yourself. Make sure you know you have the support of the other team members.

3. Cut your losses early. If you’ve spent an hour in the first fractal and people just seem willfully clueless, politely excuse yourself. Why waste another hour killing yourself with people who you dislike? Make a new party.

Don’t forget that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Make your own parties. Start your own instances. If you can’t start an instance, group with Tuileries who can.

I have seen lot’s of other threads like this and I don’t think 3 vote kicks will solve the problem. And to be honest, I really don’t know how they are going to solve this problem, except for your suggestion that people can’t be kicked past a certain stage. Even then the problem will still exist but won’t be as bad.

I would of loved to kick them, but one of them was the party leader. So they pretty much had immunity from being kicked by us. I think the 3 vote system will solve this for most cases. Not very often am I in a group with 3 friends doing higher lvl fractals

I believe the 3-vote system would help solve this too.

If I’m a scumbag player, after that certain point, I’ll go afk. Watch netflix or something.

I don’t think there’s a “good” solution to the problem, I don’t think it’s really a problem too. Just… be good with the people you run with.

the 2 vote system is idiotic. Almost as idiotic as the group leader logging out and immediately removing everyone from the dungeon & resetting it. Two of the many design flaws that have persisted for an entire year without being addressed.

No joke I would 100% without hesitation trade every single temp event of the year away in return to ONE of those two problems being resolved.

The vote system is really suck, they can also threaten ppl pay gold otherwise they kick you at high level fractals

The other 2 should have kicked the guy who wasn’t the instance owner as soon as they realized what they were doing during Maw instead of proceeding with the fractal.
Then the only alternative for them would have been to destroy the instance for everyone.

I know I woulda done it. I rather get no reward than letting 2 scrubs get theirs while scamming someone else. Specially because that could be me in a future run, and then I’d have to come here and write a thread like yours.
But well, most pugs don’t care about it until they are the ones getting kicked and the kick vote system makes things worse.

Great system, I just got booted from a level 5 fractal for refusing to use a staff when I was told. Play the way you want to, yeah right.

Oof. I remember those level 5s. Really rough. Whole lotta time being put in for nothing in return.

Getting the system changed to three people needed won’t solve all the problems like people think it will. If players can find a way to grief, they always will and no system ever created will change that. I do agree it should be a majority vote, but people need to stop acting like this will solve all the kicking problems.

I have no idea what situation you were in, but games where you team up with other players are not “play how you want” games. If you are in a party trying to accomplish a certain goal and it can be done faster/better by changing what you are doing or changing what you are doing would be a help to the team, why would you not do that?

Should I join a group and run around killing random mobs and not helping the team because that’s how I want to play? If you want to play how you want, do content solo.

Wrong, so by your logic, I have to play the game the way some so called expert deems the most efficient manner, One was a ranger, ha and a mesmer, so how are they optimal, shouldn’t they be zerker warriors.

The funny thing is that because both these flaws exist, you can use the leader-log-out flaw to prevent yourself from being kicked by the “2-vote-kick” flaw.

I couldn’t agree more with this thread. Vote of majority should decide which in 5 man party is 3, not 2.

makes sense to have 3/5 votes to kick someone, though it won’t solve all issues. Try to be polite with your feedback and you won’t have as many problems.

3/5 votes it help alot… onestly when i start a fotm with pugs and 2 ppl is from same guild i’m not so calm
