Giganticus Lupicus 1:40 Duo
OK.
Had a bad day?
stop posting this kittenty videos , no one cares that u waste ur life in this game
We’ve missed you Conaywea. Your hateful nonsense is delightful.
Now a question for you — are you drunk, or just really immature? Or some VGM-like mental illness?
Just curious — sometimes it’s hard to tell
Things that I personally don’t appreciate are objectively valueless.
k.
lol. What an odd thread. Good times with morons.
Not sure if modzap or self-deletes.
Anywho — love it, [iV]. Nicely done!
Finally got a chance to watch this.
That was really cool. It just ran super Clean.
Nicely done.
Hmm…now I’m curious…I wonder what the time difference would be if this was done without line targeting? How much of a boost does that actually give?

I’d imagine very little if any on Lupi because of how large he is.
Ice bow would be very little difference. Meteor shower is 3-4 meteors difference probably.
From my experience it’s not better to line cast Lupi.
If you’re using stone splinters then you won’t get the 10% damage modifier if you line cast him anyways, so any DPS increase line casting might offer for the initial burst would be offset by losing 10% on the impacts.
Would OP like to try again, but without line targeting, FOR SCIENCE?
It’d be interesting to see the same players, same build, etc, compare this side by side.
And if they post another video, it might lure Mr. Grumpypants back for more funtimes.

We didn’t use Stone Splinters, we used 64004.
We tried with it tho and not line cast, results were slower so we went back.
I understand that line casting might be pointless but i had to dodge the grub either way and since no stone splinters, why not? As for ice bow, doubt all would hit without line casting.
Of course line casting is going to deal more damage still, at least as far as the icebow is concerned.
You’ve taken the entire height of the circle and compressed it. You might have had a projectile that was in the same x component of the circle as lupi’kittenbox, but had a different y component. With line casting, on Lupi, every single one of these hits. Even if we say the width is the same as the diameter of the circle, this would necessitate more damage except in the case that the hitbox was literally as big as the IB#4 circle area.
And it’s worse than that. The rectangle you get when line casting is actually not as wide as the diameter of the intended area circle. It’s slightly smaller. Again, we’re going to see more damage due to this unless the target’kittenbox is literally as big as the intended circle.
The only way for line casting not to deal more damage overall in this case, is if the setup/recovery from using it cost you more DPS than you gained. But you barely lose anything by doing it.
Remember kids, if you say “lupi’s” and then “hitbox”, you get something very different. Good job, piece of kitten forum language filter.

Oh no problem Der(p)y, I getcha.
I was just speaking my mind is all ^^
64004 is also a very comfortable staff build. While it is by no means optimal as far as burst and DPS is concerned, it sometimes is just what’s needed to get things to work.
I was thinking of a sweet experiment where you start with one expert staff solo’er and get the best solo time you could. Then add a second staff, see what time you get. Then a third, fourth, 5th. etc.
The idea would be to see which character adds the most speed to the kill from a % and nominal time. I reckon the second character adds the most time savings but at a certain point you get enough people that you can swap to more offensive traited builds and they could be a big savings.
Five staff eles vs lupi would be fun. I can say from experience that with two staff eles and a warrior there is almost enough burst to skip phase 2 entirely in a trio.
What is line casting? And what does that pot of hylek poison do?
(edited by Endo Kazuki.2086)
Line casting is basically a little trick used to focus all the impacts from Meteor Shower/Ice Bow’s Ice Storm into a substantially smaller area.
That pot of hylek poison is just used for swiftness.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”

That’s for Line casting, good explanation, basically tricks the game into landing all your attacks into a smaller area by crossing the targetted circle and the “max range” so that you have a smaller area that fits in both, think of it kind of like a venn diagram of sorts. If your targetted area is at max range, when you dodge back you’ve cut off the back half of the circle because it is now out of range, creating a much smaller area that will get the same amount of attacks.
As for Hylek Pots, the 1 skill gives 10s swiftness on a 15s reuse, make sure to buy the ones in Timberline not the ones in Caledon as the ones in Caledon can’t be used in dungeons.
