Giganticus Lupicus...
you may enjoy fighting Subject Alpha aswell, sadly this is the end of the list for fun boss encounters.
Honestly this game has some really good boss fights and some bad ones.. Most of them being really fun unique ones. 350+ hrs in and this game is still a blast. best $60 ever.
A 5 man boss that takes tactics, skill, and co-ordination on the level of a raid boss. This is a perfect example of a boss in my books.
The fact that me and my guildies couldn’t beat him on the first try and multiple tries after the fact was extremely fun.
We’ve only tried him a couple times now as it was getting late. But i’m excited to try again and again.
Then having the fact to show off that you’ve obtained this honor of defeating him and the rest of Arah by obtaining the gear is even more satisfying.

Thank you for coming with some positive feedback… Not many people bother with it :P
Just beat him yesterday. Went with four guildmates, it was such a refreshing change that there was actually something challenging in this game; He’s not going to be puggable which is very nice for people who are looking for a challenge.
The only downside is that the exploit that people have been using for the last 2-3 weeks have made all Arah gear non-prestigious as it’s as common as grass in a field. Secondly, after spending 2 hours clearing the entire dungeon some of our party got 6 badges…>_>
Yes, I wish they had implemented the token reward system at the end of the dungeon sooner or at launch. Speed runs really ruin the feel of wearing your achievements.
Bugs can be fixed (IE getting less badges) but difficulty doesn’t need to change.
This boss is very hard but it’s not impossible to kill.
Part 1 is easy, just stay together, have 2 people on add and grubs, 3 people on boss.
Part 2 is the fight which makes the boss very hard, it has 3 skills during this part:
1. He will look at you and throw a ball to you, you need to predict the path of the ball, and dodge it.
2. AoE, this is a large scale AoE you need to watch out, just use dodge or get away as soon as he cast it.
3. Teleport, he will be hide himself and shadow step to you, need to dodge it.
Part 3, after 50% hp:
1. huge AoE.
2. single ball attack like part 2
3. a small AoE which blocks you from getting out, my thief use shadow step to doage it.
This boss fight requires instant respond to dodge skill and predicting AoEs, you need to have many tries to kill this boss.
Hard, but not impossible.
went with a PuG earlier.
We couldnt get past phase two and I gave up on them because they were bad. (Like, couldnt understand the concept of stacking up during the first phase bad)
But the boss seemed really fun, i’m planning on saving arah for last, so it’ll be something neat to look forward too.
