This song should play the moment you leave a dungeon group @ Giganticus Lupicus.

… and this should be the theme song that plays if you managed to somehow beat Giganticus Lupicus while being in melee range for the majority of the fight, and without being downed:

i’m a melee thief (so pretty much as squishy as melee gets) and i have no trouble with most dungeons. i carry a ranged set that i switch to when i need to heal (signet of malice heals me per hit and i have high healing power, so i just unload for 1k heals until i’m back in shape), but most of the time i’m at melee range.

maybe if you didn’t run pure glass cannon, no survivability, a-mob-can-kill-me-by-looking-funny-at-me builds, you’d have more luck.

oh, and some battles are meant to be played at range, and you should change to that when appropriate. you can’t just force your way through content, you have to adapt to the situation.

You meannn… Being forced to stand on branches, hiding behind rocks? If you do not, when you step out as a melee, everything targets you at once and you die? Mobs doing ridiculous damage and you are already next to everything when you get immobilized, so you die…?

At least I got to kill the mobs that spawned on the branch… otherwise my only other option was to not even be near the fight…

Actually you can melee that wurm fight easily. I just have my brother use his ranger axe which kills flowers as they pop and use I mace/shield on other attacks (PBAoE).

Depending on what tree fight your talking about it is melee friendly. UP path can be melee’d with the only dmg taken is mostly from random turrets that do very little. His attacks take so long you can tell what he is doing. F/UP you might not want to just because of extra agro. and F/F your kiting anyway so might as well use range.

Do like that Megaman one.

The song “Can’t touch this” technically can go both ways! Lupicus might not be able to touch you ;D!

Wow, this thread made me realised just how much cooler and epic the Lupi fight would be if music queued when you walked in and did the most fun boss encounters. Pretty please Anet?!? You’ve mentioned changes/updates to dungeons, keep this in mind ^-^

P.S i found the matrix one most appropriate for the Lupi fight, this genre of music would be great if you have composers that can pull it off

I just beat Lupicus with my warrior being in Melee range most of the fight, I ran out when he did his Aoe Health steal and used my bow but other than that I was in his face with my hammer. Didn’t get downed once. I have eye witnesses.
